AgriGeorgia was established in March 2007 near the city of Zugdidi in the Samegrelo region and currently the activity is handled through 2 sites, employing approx. 84 HCs. The Company’s mission is to verify the adaptability of different hazelnut varieties to local agricultural and climatic conditions experimenting several agronomic techniques, to promote the hazelnuts development amongst local farmer and ultimately to be a reliable supplier for Ferrero reducing dependency from other suppliers/countries.

 

About the Role:

We are looking for a Country Security Manager. In this role, you will be responsible all Security Organization and Activities of AgriGeorgia.

Main Responsibilities:

The Country Security Manager is responsible for implementing the overall security strategies for the Company in the area of his/her pertinence.

Reporting managerially to local P&O and professionally to Ferrero HCo Security. Individual will be working in Chitatskari / Zugdidi located in Georgia. S/he will look after different security related aspects, including Country Security Intelligence, Physical Security, Threat and Risk Assessments, Supply Chain Security, Personnel protection, Executive Protection, Travel Security, Incident Management, Fraud Investigation, Due Diligence, Security Training concerning production factories, offices, warehouses, as well as all business operation processes in Georgia.

Qualifications and Requirements

All candidates seeking to apply for the position of Georgia Country Security Manager must encompass the following requirements/qualifications:

  • Experience: University degree in law, criminology or international relationship is to be considered a major plus. CVs must be descriptive of roles, duties, and rank during the time served.
  • Extensive corporate security experience: fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), retail or industrial companies preferred.
  • Foreign languages: native/local language and fluent English is mandatory. Candidate is required to keep constant quality communication/interaction with Ferrero Group Security as well as local Departments (PO, Finance & Administration, Legal, Institutional Affairs & Corporate Communication, Procurement, Supply Chain, etc.) and Group Security Team worldwide.
  • Management skills: well-developed Business related and People management expertise, obtained through experiences in managing and leading operations relevant to security are required. This includes budget management, conflict management, proactivity, communication and decision-making skills. Standard computer knowledge including Microsoft Office is required.
  • Availability to relocate and travel: Since there is no hybrid/remote working model, it is mandatory to reside in a location close to the main base (Zugdidi). For business purposes, the Country Security Manager might be requested to travel inside or outside of Georgia for short-term assignments.

 

Long Description

Attributions and responsibilities

  • Manage daily physical security operations for AgriGeorgia premises, including offices, plants, warehouses, farms and the relationship with contracted security providers. Coordinate external security provider in charge of the manned guarding services and surveillance.
  • Conduct and update Threat and Risk Assessments related to the Country / Market, in line with Ferrero standard and metrics, identifying the related level of exposure and potential implications for the company.
  • Provide accurate and timely reports regarding sensitive security related incidents and major events. Promptly inform HCo Security, and, on receiving clearance, conduct due diligence and investigation, under the supervision of Fraud Management & Third-Party Security Manager.
  • Assess risks for premises, providing mitigation strategy, based on a cost-conscious approach.
  • Advice and counsel Country management on security policies and best practices in order to foster Security awareness, culture and enforce the deployment of methodologies, processes and technologies for each Security process locally.
  • Develop excellent network of Security contacts and liaise with Police, Trading Standards, Customs, and other appropriate Regulatory Authorities to facilitate and aid investigations and matters relating to security, safety and risk compliance.

  • Maintain Travel Security Implementations for Local and Global Travelers. Share instant security alerts and travel advisories to employees, expats and travelers. Deploy an emergency line for local employees, expats and travelers and work in coordination with   Group Security Operation Center.
  • Managing financial activities of Security organization; Budget planning, controlling 3rd party service payments montly basis, shift plans, payroll checks, security projects planning.
  • Maintain knowledge of local industry trends, current security issues and security technology, periodically updating local management on risks and threats that could affect Company business.
  • Be responsible for local internal security staff and external security services, assuring respect and compliance with local legislation, Ferrero Code of Ethics and Ferrero Code of Business conduct.
  • Develop an effective communication model locally, in order to ensure a constant communication flow inside Security Department (especially between security internal personnel and external security providers) as well as among Security and other Departments,   to put in place prompt actions in case of incident and/or emergency.
