About the Role:

We are looking for a financial analyst to join our growing team in Toronto! The Sales Finance Analyst is responsible for supporting the Sales Finance & Planning Manager by providing analytical and decision support on Corporate, Customer & Product Net Sales. This is a high collaboration role requiring the incumbent to act as a key finance business partner to customer teams.
 

Main Responsibilities:

•    Prepare scorecards for customer teams on a weekly basis, proactively identifying variances on all Gross to Net components, and effectively raise alarms as needed
•    Provide analytical support to Sales Finance Manager for Monthly Trade Reviews with Leadership team
•    Maintain and analyze Markdowns, Liquidations and Destructions for all channels and customers, presenting key findings to Sales Finance Manager monthly
•    Prepare, analyze, and lead reviews with leadership team on Customer Direct Margin whilst tracking channel and account spend rates
•    Assist Sales Finance Manager with month-end activities and financials review, highlighting variances vs budget, prior-year, and other comparative benchmarks, decomposing results, and driving insights with data
•    Partner with Sales, Trade Marketing & Revenue Management teams to lead analysis and recommendations with respect to incremental business opportunities, trade spend ROI and feasibility of trade program proposals
•    Prepare, analyze, and own submissions for customer and product profitability, highlighting drivers behind Net Sales variance(s)
•    Prepare, analyze, and own submissions of Weekly Sales data to Region and Monthly Letter financial inputs for Country Leadership
•    Assist Planning Manager during annual budget & target setting process by developing tools, templates and providing analytical support and insights
•    Champion continuous process improvements including system updates and enhancements
•    Review formulas/templates, develop dashboards (BI) and create consistent measurements for tracking
 

Who we are looking for:

•    3+ years of experience within Finance, preferably supporting Sales and Customer teams
•    Relevant experience in financial planning & analysis or sales & commercial finance, preferably in the CPG industry
•    Financial designation (CPA) preferred
•    Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently to identify issues and provide solutions
•    Advanced to expert in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint
•    Proficiency with ERP (SAP finance modules)
•    Proficiency with business intelligence tools (PowerBI / Tableau)
•    Strong communication and negotiation skills
