We are looking for highly motivated individuals, who have graduated from a post-secondary institution with a business related degree; and with a focus on Sales, Marketing or Trade Marketing, to join our Canada Commercial Early Career Program. 

Our Early Career program is designed to allow participants to explore Ferrero while putting their skills to work. Working at Ferrero early in your career is a unique and challenging experience, and we often have permanent placements after the program. Even more importantly, our Early Career program can help participants understand where you want to focus your talent and take the first step towards a career at Ferrero.
 
The Ferrero Early Career Program provides participants with the technical and leadership skills they will need to build a successful career within Ferrero. 


This opportunity sits within the Trade Marketing function, and works cross functionally with other departments in Ferrero including Sales, Finance and Supply Chain.

Learn and gain experience inside a fast-paced CPG company in two unique areas:
• Revenue Management:  Support multiple departments in optimizing Ferrero’s promotional spending with our customers.
• Seasonal Inventory Management:  Oversee the allocation of Ferrero’s seasonal inventory to Canadian retailers.
 

Main Responsibilities:

Revenue Management:
• Support the Revenue Manager with periodic and ad-hoc reporting
• Provide preliminary analysis on results and present insights to the team
• Perform investigations into suspected data issues and outliers 
• Partner with Sales to review promotions and monthly budgets, actual results vs. forecasts 

• Expand skills with a unique business project - Seasonal Intervention Promotions:
    - Develop a framework to assist Sales in determining the optimal balance between investing in promotions to accelerate sales pre-season and paying for inventory still in the market post-season:
        o Create standardized templates to calculate and compare promotional spend options 
        o Recommend a process for proposing, evaluating, approving and tracking pre-season intervention promotions
        o Work cross functionally with Sales, Trade Marketing, and Finance in the framework development
        o Present your project recommendations to Senior Management in September 2024, and implement the program for Holiday 2024

Product Supply & Allocation Management:
• Support the Commercial Planner in developing inventory allocation strategies for seasonal products (Halloween, Holiday, Valentine’s, Easter)
• Create, maintain, and manage a hybrid SAP and Excel based allocation quota system to ensure inventory ships in alignment with agreed strategies 

Technology & Training:
• Gain experience with Ferrero’s reporting systems:  SAP Business Intelligence and Upclear Blueplanner
• Support Sales with planning (volume and trade) by responding to questions in a timely manner 


 

Who we are looking for:

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary educational institution in a business related program; and with a focus on Sales, Marketing or Trade Marketing,or a related discipline
• Proficient with MS Office Suite tools 
• Ability to adapt and learn new things quickly and accurately
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Self-motivated and takes initiative
• Collaborative, and works effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical capabilities with intermediate-advanced skill in Excel
• Detail & results orientated
