About the Role:

The role is aimed to drive the accelerated growth of Out-of-Home (OOH) Channel in Japan, with a specific focus on the foodservice range in the HoReCa sub-channel. The role will contribute to the design and implementation of the Route-to-Market, portfolio and BTL activities, spreading knowledge and best practices. 

Main Responsibilities:

 

  • Continuously develop the established long-term sales objectives for OOH in Japan following guidelines and priorities set, ensuring alignment between business objectives and the proper management of budget

  • Ensure Ferrero OOH and Food Service initiatives are marketed in line with planned objectives and Company policies

  • Guarantee the development of annual OOH sales plan for Japan, according to the direction of the Cluster and the Global OOH / Food Service guidelines and objectives

  • Hold accountability for the OOH development and achievement of the objectives of growth and sales targets

  • Manage relationships with OOH distributors in Japan (including their foodservice sales teams) and develops direct strategic level relationships with key indirect customers in conjunction with the distributors, support negotiations

  • Support the in design and implementation of an expanded OOH Route-to-Market and Foodservice Portfolio

  • Execute local trade promotions, ensuring the alignment with the overall strategy

  • Identify best practices to provide to distributor teams to maximize results

  • Monitor the promotion spending results, manage ROI

  • Supervise BTL activities, product line roadmap, market analysis and planning, applying the guidelines provided by  marketing team in alignment with the channel strategy

  • Contribute to the assessment of the positioning on OOH market and in identifying the needed changes to reach the sales objectives

  • Provide relevant and timely reporting

  • Be an active member of the Global OOH Channel community in order to share best practices among markets, and implementing the relevant ones in Japan

  • Support administrative matters to facilitate functional, team, and office activities

 

Who we are looking for:

 

  • University degree

  • Minimum of 7 years in a relevant commercial role, experience with OOH (out-of-home) channel is strongly preferred

  • Strong knowledge of FMCG or foodservice ingredient/equipment industry (including retailer/operator experience)

  • Knowledge in developing and implementing OOH merchandising tactics e.g. trade shows, POS activities & consumer events

  • Distributor and relationship management skills

  • Project management and analytical skills required, along with advanced communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to analyze product trends and translate them to executable strategies

  • Proactivity, high result-orientation, with ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

  • Ability to work across teams and cross-functionally, being a good team player and contributor

  • Strong knowledge of MS Office tools

  • Fluency in Japanese and English, written and spoken
