About the Role:

The role is aimed to support Ferrero Japan business by providing strong support in the quality matters, i.e. the call center activities and consumer enquiries management with the respective parties involved (consumer, trade, distributor, internal teams etc), as well as ensuring the compliance to the relevant regulations and specifications.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide relevant support in product quality matters, supporting the call center activities (Q&A update, self-assessment, etc) and acting as a first collector and respondent to consumer enquiries and complaints

  • Manage relevant system and record management of the consumer enquiries, including sampling collection and necessary communication handling, together with Commercial Quality (CQM) team members, where required

  • Liaise with distributors and consumers for the necessary follow up; provide Japanese Quality Assurance (QA) daily record for complaint from consumer and distributor

  • Conduct the product inspection in case quality issue / new product,  incoming check, and report it to the relevant team, including the Commercial Quality Management

  • Provide warehouse assessment support  and necessary controls management (report check, PO, on-site confirmation)

  • Participate in the weekly quality meetings, government food quality seminars, liaise with trade associations for consumer and industry / legal matters  

  • Verify product descriptions to CQM and support promotion items certification process (check labeling, specification to meet relevant country regulations), conduct the incoming quality check on behalf of CQM

  • Liaise with relevant departments for the necessary information checks, and work closely with different stakeholders for input and approval (Regional, IA&CC, legal, sales, agency teams)

  • Provide assistance to the commercial team and support relevant administrative processes, raise PR/PO, deliver relevant reporting and support in preparation of business presentations

Who we are looking for:

  • ​​​​​​University degree in food science, food chemistry, analytical chemistry

  • 5+ years of relevant previous experience,  FMCG food industry commercial quality experience is preferred

  • Solid knowledge of the production technique and quality standards for food industry in Japan

  • Strong consumer service experience, with good interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to work effectively across teams and manage multiple stakeholders, contribute individually and be a strong team member

  • Strong project management skills and ability to work in a high-pace environment

  • Advanced MS Office skills, SAP is considered a strong plus

  • Fluency in both Japanese and  English is required
