Hazelnut Company Chile - Technical Procurement Buyer
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Technical Procurement Buyer to join our team in the Hazelnut Company Chile, responsible for ensuring the timely and effective procurement of materials in line with the established Category Strategy.
You will play a critical part in meeting the company’s operational requirements by balancing cost, quality, and delivery expectations.
Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will lead supplier negotiations, manage ongoing supplier relationships, and drive the scouting and evaluation of new vendors. You will also be accountable to monitor supplier performance and optimizing procurement processes to secure business continuity and support long-term operational excellence.
Main Responsibilities:
- Contributes to defining the procurement strategy of the Category of responsibility, in alignment with medium and long-term Group strategies and responding to business needs
- Elaborates and ensures the budget and medium-term plan, according to Group strategy
- Manages procurement activities (i.e. price list, quote allocation, etc.) for the Category of responsibility, ensuring product availability with agreed quality and service levels while optimizing value for Ferrero and applying the internal methodologies, procedures and tools
- Manages vendor scouting to check potential new opportunities in the market
- Performs market analyses for the Category of responsibility, constantly monitors the market, and provides management with updated specific analysis
- Conducts negotiation with suppliers of the Category of responsibility, in alignment with internal procedures and Ferrero Code of Business Conduct
- Ensures competition between suppliers
- Applies and implements procurement policies, vendor management and developing policies, based on technical, organizational, economical and international financial knowledge, to reach the best possible results according to Group requirements in terms of timing and flexibility
- Ensures purchase orders management, looks for Request for Proposals from vendors, proposing qualified and suitable alternatives
- Analyses, aligns and evaluates offers received, to select the best available alternatives
- Maintains, consolidates and improves relationships with existing suppliers, to ensure continuity, manage criticalities and strengthen common objectives
- Supports for item having contracts managed locally, presence of Global Master Agreements, application of qualitative and quantitative contracts standards
- Supports supplier claim management along with relevant stakeholders
- Supports work item management to ensure on time payments
- Supports the implementation of sustainability initiatives plan in day-to-day procurement activities
- Ensures supplier compliance with sustainability standards
Requirements:
Educational background:
- At least a Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or other related fields
Professional experience:
- 5 years of relevant procurement work experience

- Strong communication skills

IT skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Previous experience with SAP
Languages:
- Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English
- Any other languages will be considered an asset
