Hazelnut Company Chile - Hazelnut Procurement Buyer
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Raw Material Buyer to to join our team in the Hazelnut Company Chile.
In this role, you will support the strategic management, planning, and oversight of the Hazelnut Purchasing category, ensuring required volumes, optimal quality-to-cost ratios, and effective management of suppliers and their purchasing information.
You will contribute to seasonal planning by identifying and implementing systemic improvements, conducting master data analysis to enhance forecasting accuracy and enable data‑driven decisions.
A core part of the role includes promoting automation and digital solutions to strengthen traceability and streamline operations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Generate periodic reports for the Hazelnut Procurement Department, providing data analysis to identify errors and support solution management.
- Maintain effective and coordinated communication with the Supply Chain and Quality departments to ensure procurement strategies align with quality standards and plant capacities.
- Define, propose, and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the purchasing area, including vendor performance and other relevant metrics.
- Serve as the key user for the Hazelnut Procurement stream, providing support with system settings and validating that processes align with current or optimal Hazelnut Procurement practices.
- Assist in compiling documentation and traceability records required for internal and external audits, including contracts, supplier compliance, and supplier performance evaluations.
- Research, evaluate, and monitor potential sourcing areas to identify and develop new supply opportunities.
- Foster a culture of innovation by promoting continuous improvement, standardization, and operational efficiency.
- Support professional growth through regular performance evaluations and targeted development initiatives
Requirements:
Educational background:
- At least Bachelor’s degree in economics, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or other related fields. Agronomist with data focus, also are welcomed.
Professional experience:
- Around 6 years of relevant procurement/back office/administration/customer service work experience

IT skills:
- Familiarity with data analytics tools and techniques, with the ability to interpret and leverage large data sets (big data) to support decision-making, performance monitoring, and process optimization
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Proficient SAP knowledge (SAP ECC/SAP 4HANA/SAP Ariba)
Languages:
- Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English
- Any other languages will be considered an asset
