About the Role:

 

To lead and manage end-to-end supply chain operations in Chile, ensuring compliance with Ferrero’s global policies and local regulations and maintaining the integrity, safety, and accuracy of stock and logistics operations.

Main Responsibilities:

 

  • Ensure all logistics activities comply with Health & Safety, Quality & Food Safety, and Security Procedures. Support Warehouse Supervisors in ensuring legal and ethical compliance. Maintain segregation of duties and ensure inventory movements comply with accounting rules.
  • Oversee receipt, weighing, quality control, and SAP entry of incoming hazelnuts at Collection Points, ensuring compliance with contracts and Ferrero standards. Ensure proper labeling, storage by grade, and coordination with Planning for material routing and stock transfers.
  • Ensure accurate receipt, storage, and handling of materials across all warehouses, including 3PLs, with strict adherence to SAP data, inspection protocols, and temperature/time-sensitive storage rules.
  • Oversee yard management, delta weight handling, and documentation retention to maintain operational integrity and compliance.
  • Ensure consistency between physical movements and SAP data during receipt, storage, and shipment preparation, managing delta weights, quality status updates, and compliance safety standards.
  • Oversee 3PL coordination, documentation, and performance monitoring, including KPIs for warehouse saturation, loading/unloading efficiency, and stock accuracy.
  • Oversee domestic and international transport operations across all modes, ensuring compliance with contracts, safety standards, and Ferrero’s logistics framework.
  • Ensure third-party transport is governed by valid framework agreements and aligned with HCo and FTL procedures.  
  • Oversee transport execution across all shipment types, ensuring documentation, SAP accuracy, customs compliance, and responsiveness to production and export needs.
  • Manage outbound operations for internal transfers and sales, ensuring vehicle checks, H&S compliance, accurate SAP records, and proper sealing and documentation of shipments. Monitor carrier allocation KPIs, enforce booking protocols, and oversee claim documentation.
  • Plan and execute inventory counts per Ferrero guidelines, ensuring accuracy, proper team setup, and system alignment across all storage types and locations.
  • Define and manage transport networks during Budget, SAF and R&O processes in alignment with Central HCO Supply Chain.
  • Establish and track transport performance evaluation (e.g., supplier responsiveness, punctuality, damage rate), perform root cause analysis for deviations, and escalate issues to SC Procurement and HCo Supply Chain as needed.
  • Coordinate with FSQ and Planning to manage shelf-life risks, downgrade or dispose of non-compliant stock, and ensure SAP usage decisions are available as per standing HCo rules.
  • Lead and develop the Chilean Supply Chain team, ensuring alignment with Ferrero’s global standards while fostering local operational excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement across logistics, planning, and warehouse functions.

Qualifications & Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain or logistics management
  • Experience managing 3PLs and warehouse operations
  • Familiarity with IT systems, preferably SAP
