State Account Manager (1 year contract)
About the Role:
The State Account Manager plays a pivotal role in driving sales growth and building strong relationships with key customers. This position is ideal for early-career professionals seeking to develop expertise in sales, negotiation, and customer management within a supportive and high-performing environment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Execute Ferrero’s business strategies across assigned customers, delivering the Triple Win approach that creates value for consumers, customers, and Ferrero.
- Manage customer investments through the accurate and timely processing of SAPTM accruals and claims.Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer stakeholders, including buyers and wholesale partners.
- Facilitate regular customer meetings and support the Senior Account Team with Top-to-Top (T2T) engagements and range reviews.
- Negotiate case deals, promotional price points, and activation activities to drive mutually beneficial commercial outcomes.
- Lead negotiations for cost price increases with relevant wholesalers and retailers when required.
- Partner closely with Demand Planning to ensure accurate forecasting and alignment of customer plans.
- Prepare and deliver daily, weekly, and monthly reports, ensuring key stakeholders receive timely and accurate insights.
- Develop and complete field activation briefs for all key customer activations, ensuring high-quality execution and alignment with business objectives.
- Support the achievement of sales, profitability, and execution targets through effective planning, stakeholder engagement, and commercial management.
About You:
- University degree
- Experience in sales, account management, or a related field
- Basic market and retailer knowledge, field and distributor management, novice-level eCommerce understanding
- Selling and category management skills, merchandising techniques
- Good relationship management, customer service, administration and communication skills
- Strong analytical thinking, good time and priorities management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP knowledge is considered an advantage
