Senior National Account Manager, Independent Retail
About the Role:
FerreroAustralia is looking for an experienced Senior National Account Manager to lead strategic customer relationships within the Independent Grocery Channel. This role is responsible for developing and executing customer growth strategies, driving commercial performance, and delivering sustainable outcomes for both Ferrero and its customers.
Working closely with Sales, Category, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Commercial Planning teams, the successful candidate will create and deliver customer plans that support business objectives and strengthen Ferrero's market position.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute customer strategies and Joint Business Plans aligned with Ferrero's commercial objectives and customer priorities
- Build strong partnerships with key customer stakeholders to drive sales growth, profitability, and category performance
- Lead day-to-day account management activities across pricing, promotions, ranging, and activation planning
- Use commercial insights and performance data to identify growth opportunities and address business challenges
- Manage trade investment effectively to maximise return on investment and achieve agreed objectives
- Prepare for and lead commercial negotiations, including pricing, promotional activities, and business development initiatives
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of customer plans and operational excellence
- Own forecasting and planning activities for assigned customers to support business performance and supply management
- Contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team environment and support the development of team capabilities
About You:
- University degree qualification in Business, Commerce, Marketing, or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience managing independent grocery channel, large retail, wholesale, distributor, and key customer accounts within FMCG industry
- Strong commercial acumen and experience delivering sustainable business growth
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage sales, shopper, category, and market data to support decision-making
- Experience in forecasting, financial management, and commercial planning
- Excellent client and stakeholder management, relationship-building skills
- Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills, negotiation and influencing capabilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
