Logistics Executive (12 Month Contract)
About the Role:
We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Executive to join our Supply Chain team. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, you'll support the efficient flow of inbound stock into the Ferrero Australia network while managing logistics invoicing, reporting, and operational administration.
Working closely with 3PL providers, carriers, customs brokers, and internal stakeholders, you'll help ensure accurate financial processing, inventory visibility, service performance, and continuous improvement across our logistics operations.
Main Responsibilities:
Invoicing & Cost Management
- Execute service receipts in SAP and support Logistics purchase order creation.
- Manage invoice control processes for Ferrero's third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
- Monitor and manage logistics costs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Prepare and maintain weekly and monthly logistics cost reporting and analysis.
Stock Management
- Monitor stock availability and provide timely updates on stock issues and out-of-stock SKUs.
- Generate inventory reports to support business decision-making.
- Investigate customer claims, stock discrepancies, and inventory-related queries.
- Analyze data to identify opportunities for process optimization
Warehouse Management
- Maintain and report warehouse performance KPIs, including daily capacity utilization, FEFO (First Expired, First Out) compliance, and stock availability.
- Monitor inbound load schedules and container status to ensure smooth stock flow into the network.
- Investigate returns, credits, and operational issues while supporting continuous service level improvement initiatives.
Document & Data Management
- Process product and insurance claims resulting from damaged, incorrect, or lost shipments.
- Maintain logistics records and documentation in accordance with Group Operating Standards and audit requirements.
- Process invoices relating to incoming goods, freight, customs brokerage, and duties in line with the Ferrero Authorization Matrix.
Transport Management
- Maintain and analyze cost to service data and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Prioritize loads, ensuring that the carrier has all documents to pick-up and deliver loads
About You:
Skills & Experience
- Experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, Warehouse, Distribution, or Transport Operations.
- Knowledge of inventory management, warehouse operations, and transport processes.
- Understanding of customs documentation and import clearance processes.
- Experience with purchase orders, invoice processing, and finance administration.
- Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical capability.
- SAP experience, preferably in logistics, procurement, and invoice management.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
