About the Role:

The role is aimed to support the Raw Materials Team in Ferrero Singapore Innovation Center and steer the local Research & Development Raw Materials initiatives and projects across Asia-Pacific, China, and India, fostering a symbiotic relationship with the central R&D Raw Materials Department.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Scout, identify and establish relationships with potential new suppliers of local raw materials, thereby gaining an in-depth understanding of the key raw materials

  • Cultivate influential partnerships with Universities and R&D Centres to ignite innovation in the raw materials domain

  • Actively participate in Asian Conferences, and manage local collaborations

  • Pioneer the exploration and establishment of robust relationships with prospective new suppliers of local raw materials, thereby cultivating a comprehensive understanding of the emerging raw material supply chain

  • Manage the execution of Research & Development projects with relevant stakeholders (internal and external)

  • Coordinate all laboratory activities (including external lab analysis requests) and provide comprehensive support and expert guidance to the local lab team on nutritional properties and food law for new local raw materials

  • Maintain consistent and structured communication with the Central R&D Raw Materials Department in Italy

  • Assist in administrative work related to audits for health and safety, raw material documentation, shipments and internal processes

  • Contribute to the reporting and presentations preparations for the management review

Who we are looking for:

  • University degree in Food Science and Technology or related disciplines is essential

  • Food Technology expertise, proficiency in Analytical Chemistry and familiarity with standard analytical methodologies is preferred

  • Relevant professional experience in similar roles, experience in performing the laboratory works

  • Professional curiosity and eagerness to explore new materials and ideas

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, strong cross-functional interaction skills

  • High level of responsibility and drive to result

  • Agility and adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, with an aptitude for multi-tasking

  • Good project management skills and problem solving attitude

  • For the personal safety: physical ability to handle, carry, move packages and boxes at a regular basis is required

  • MS Office proficiency

  • Fluency in English, written and spoken; any other Asian language is considered a plus
