Intern - Food Trends

About the Role:

Are you passionate about food, health, and emerging consumer trends? Join our Innovation Center, Food Trends team as an intern and help us uncover the latest insights shaping the sweet packaged foods industry across Asia Pacific! You’ll play a key role in researching trends, analyzing market data, and building impactful presentations that drive business decisions.
 
During this 3-4 months full-time internship you will learn:
  • Insights into health and food trends in Asia Pacific
  • How trend signals translate into business-relevant implications for the packaged foods industry
  • How to connect macro forces with macro trends and discern fads from macro trends

Main Responsibilities:

  • Research & Analysis: Track and analyze emerging food and health trends in APAC, focusing on sweet packaged foods like chocolate, biscuits, confectionery, desserts, ice cream, and other sweet snacks
  • Insight Synthesis: Turn complex information into clear, actionable insights—explaining what’s happening, why it matters, and the implications for the industry
  • Competitive Scanning: Identify and document innovative products, claims, ingredients, packaging, and pricing strategies in the market
  • Macro-Trend Monitoring: Monitor major trends shaping the industry and highlight both market-specific nuances and region-wide implications
  • Source Management: Maintain organized records of sources, including links, dates, key quotes, and market context, while ensuring source credibility
  • Presentation Creation: Build compelling PowerPoint presentations with strong storylines, visuals, and data to communicate findings

About You:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma or degree in Nutrition, Food Science, Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • Strong desk-research skills and ability to assess source credibility
  • Excellent PowerPoint skills (layout, storytelling, visuals)
  • Clear, concise writing and summarization skills
  • Genuine interest in food, nutrition, and consumer behavior in the sweet packaged food sector
