About the Role:

The role is responsible, at Region level, for all tasks and activities related to Commercial, Industrial/ Plant, Overheads and Supply Chain Planning & Controlling, Capex, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Planning & Controlling, ensuring the proper internal operating planning process (Budget, Forecast) respecting Group / Company timings. It ensures the management and reliability of all Region financial data, as well as interact with all Departments in order to ensure the provision of monthly closings and explain deviations from the Budget/Forecasts, including Early Warnings and GMT Risks & Opportunities.

The role is actively providing the Region CFO, Region Management Board and all relevant stakeholders with insights, analysis and recommendations of commercial & industrial financial levers as well as provide corrective action plans, if needed. It interacts with the Area Commercial/ Industrial & Supply Controlling to explain deviations and Budgetary assumptions and ensures compliance with the procedures for loading into the Information Systems of the financial data (actual and Budget/Forecasts).

Main Responsibilities:

 

  • Work in partnership with the Region Board members as business partner actively pursuing the realization of the business plans and providing key performance indicators versus the target achievements

  • Contribute to the decision-making process to guide the overall business through the creation and delivery of effective business plans

  • Hold responsibility in understanding assumptions and results of Budget and Forecasts at Region level to ensure the holistic achievement of Region targets vs Guidelines for all Controlling Departments

  • Liaise with and coordinate Region Departments in order to define the Region Budget and Forecast

  • Ensure the timing required for compliance with the Planning/Budget/SAF process

  • Hold full responsibility of the monthly Region Early Warnings and GMT Risks & Opportunities for year-end forecast in order to prepare synthesis and approval from Region Manager, Plant Manager, SC Manager and CFO

  • Support Region CFO providing relevant information relating to the medium-term objectives, collect and validate all financial data from different local Departments

  • Ensure the departments reporting of actual versus Budget / Forecast data

  • Perform daily planning and controlling activities to ensure alignment at Area Level

  • Analyze the Region financial results and identify improvement areas for commercial, industrial, overheads and supply chain costs, balance sheet and cash flow Controlling

  • Ensure analysis and financial evaluation of the pricing strategy and Gross to Net evolution

  • Perform monthly and year-end closings activities, variance analysis, as well as develop recommendations for corrective actions and sharing with Region Management

  • Prepare analysis for the control of investments and advertising promotions

  • Monitor destruction costs for Packaging, Finish Product and Raw Materials of the Region

  • Support all Departments during monthly closing activities, in terms of analysis by providing specific information

  • Control Marketing and Trade Spend in coherence with local Budget/Guidelines, support the Trade Terms Contracts process (Gross to Net impact and total PL impact)

  • Control performances at customer / channel/ brand level and overheads

  • Coordinate new product/ launch development process

  • Co-share monthly possible improvement recommendations with Area Commercial & Industrial Controlling

  • Ensure the implementation of Group Operating standards and Policies in the area of Controlling

  • Monitor evolution of DSO (Days Sales Outstanding), DIO (Days Inventory Outstanding) and DPO (Days Payable Outstanding) and constantly recommend actions of improvement in coordination with Administration/ Credit Management

  • Support Category Controllers in financial analysis of investments

  • Consolidate and understanding stock evaluation analysis at Region level

  • Support all Area/Group Controlling Departments in the deployment of Group driven transformational initiatives / projects

  • Support all Departments in deployment of Region driven initiatives / projects with the focus on financial aspects

  • Be accountable for managing people assigned, ensuring a management system based on Group values, motivation, diversity, equity & inclusion, competence development and empowerment

  • Promote the proper communication and cascading through the line managers to the teams 

 

Who we are looking for:

 

  • University degree, together with CPA/CA/CIMA/AICPA qualification or MBA in Finance required

  • Strong professional background and relevant work experience, regional and FMCG experience requited

  • Strong knowledge of performance monitoring and planning, budgeting, profit analysis and overheads management

  • Solid analytical skills and learning ability, good management and coordination skills

  • Strong stakeholder management ability, communication and negotiation skills, good interpersonal skills and team-working

  • Ability to work under pressure and in changing environment, providing solid and timely inputs

  • Good team and people management ability

  • Advanced MS Office tools skills; knowledge of SAP, Oracle / Essbase / Hyperion

  • Fluency in English, spoken and written
