Industrial Engineer
About the Role:
Follows the development cycle of the surprises directly on site. Guarantees a continuous and consistent flow of information on the status of the projects between the suppliers (China based) and the head office in Hong Kong. Helps the supplier in choosing the most cost and process effective solution for the manufacturing process.
Main Responsibilities:
- Oversee the development process of tooling and production line tooling, maintaining consistent and productive communication with suppliers to ensure alignment with project objectives, timelines, and technical benchmarks
- Diagnose the underlying causes of test malfunctions related to tooling, production line tooling, or associated equipment. Deliver timely, feasible remedies to vendors to resolve issues efficiently and reduce project delays.
- Conduct thorough assessments of mold designs to evaluate their functionality, throughput capacity, and compatibility with production needs, ensuring adherence to necessary technical and quality criteria.
- Supervise the fabrication of tools required for assembling and embellishing Surprises, including but not limited to pad printing equipment and sonic welding systems, to ensure compliance with design specifications and delivery schedules.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production and Quality) to analyze and improve upon current tooling methods to increase efficiency and reduce cost, drive workflow improvements and ensure seamless integration of tooling and production line operations.
- Maintain detailed records of tooling processes, test outcomes, issue resolutions, and vendor communications for documentation and future reference.
- Manage production schedules and coordinate services to maximize productivity and ensure technical approaches and plans meet the standards and technical requirements.
- Proactively identify potential problems that could hinder timely delivery, and recommend both interim and long-term solutions to mitigate risks and sustain production continuity.
About You:
- Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering or industrial related majors
- 8+ years working experience in Injection molding, automation, plastic material,
- Detail orientation and proactiveness, accountability with solid project and stakeholder management skills
- Team playing ability with strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and time constraints with solid deliverables
