About the Role:
This role will be responsible for developing and implementing corporate communication strategies that strengthen corporate branding, promote and protect corporate reputation, focusing on social media activation, transformation, and acceleration. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of both corporate communication principles and the Chinese market, culture, and regulatory environment..
Main Responsibilities:
Strengthen corporate brand, promote and protect corporate reputation
- Contributing to corporate communications strategy in China, aligned with plans and objectives of Ferrero brands, as well as that of the local market.
- Implementing communication campaigns to support initiatives, campaigns related and broader cross-functional efforts
- Initiate and draft speeches, media releases, briefing notes, social media posts, live stream scripts, and reporting of activities.
- Build, manage, and maintain the communication contents in China in line with Group guidelines to support external communications by various functional teams
Brand PR & Category Promotion
- Partner with brand teams to lead communication and devise key messaging for key BSR programs.
- Acting as a gatekeeper to provide valuable intelligence and quality advice on brand communication activities including but not limited to brand endorser screening and cultural sensitivity checking on marketing materials (website, PDP, packaging AW, Social content).
- Formulate a comprehensive category education communication strategy in line with the company's brand image and values, ensuring consistency with the overall corporate strategy.
- Implement the category promotion strategies, develop educational contents, and publicize through omni-channels
Media and KOL relationship
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media representatives and manage a portfolio of KOLs
- Liaising with media, both proactively and reactively, leading and handling crisis and issues management communication responses including but not limited to brand endorser related and marketing communication related issues.
Own media management
- Activates omni-channels of corporate own media, keep increasing follow, like, reprints, and total social media buzz with majority positive sentiment.
- Works closely with other communications team members to ensure coordinated and aligned efforts and results on corporate branding and profiling.
- Performs other related duties regarding stakeholder relationship and project management as assigned
Who we are looking for:
- University degree, preferably with major in communications, journalism, translation or related disciplines
- Over 8 years of solid corporate communication, media relations, and social media operation experience. In-house experience in FMCG, retail or/and food industry is an added advantage
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese. Strong communication, writing and editing skills
- Problem-solving mindset and skillset, strong interpersonal skills
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the agility to respond to new and changing requirements based on both market and company environments.
- Open-minded with continuous improvement mindset. Good learning agility and embracing change.
