About the Role:

The role is responsible for managing all logistics and logistics planning activities, supporting the Ferrero business unit in Korea and Japan. This includes managing 3PL suppliers of transport and warehousing, ensuring inventory accuracy of all finished goods (including cold-chain) is maintained to compliant with Company standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure continuity of product supply, inventory policy, warehouse occupancy, warehousing and transport cost, quality, support of the company’s freshness objectives, and others

  • Define warehousing strategy by leading warehousing tender to implement a one solution minimizing risks and optimizing operation capabilities

  • Manage the import strategy, objectives of the freight forwarder to add value to our business and performance of shipping lines importing into Korea and Japan

  • Align logistics costs and KPI with budget objectives, including warehousing, import costs, distribution and any other 3PL related costs

  • Ensure logistics processes are executed in line with Group guidelines, including inventory counts, FEFO & FIFO rules, destructions, donations, returns, etc.

  • Manage 3PLs in line with Group guidelines, including performance reviews, KPI regular assessment, improvement requests, Cost control, etc.

  • Handle repacking activities: coordinate operations to ensure stock is repacked on a timely manner from 3PL prospective

  • Review all vendors costs to ensure the vendors compliance

  • Formulate cost saving initiatives to bring Operational efficiencies, including working closely with the distributors

  • Focus on leading, development and building of the team’s knowledge, as well as communication and development of expectations and relationships with suppliers and distributors, ensuring that service levels are exceeded

  • Collaborate closely with customer service, planning, marketing, trade marketing, sales teams for the correct management of the right stock, shelf life, quantity and timing

  • Ensure excellent service levels, speed to market and the interaction between product supply (manufacturing plants and 3rd party activity) and local activity (sales and marketing teams)

  • Manage the team with the high focus on achieving the objectives and further development

Who we are looking for:

  • University degree in Supply Chain, Logistics and related fields

  • 8+ years of relevant experience with strong knowledge on operations: 3PL and distributor management, direct market management, transport, warehousing, inventory management, multi-SKU experience in FMCG: manufacturing, retail and/or consumer companies, with experience in cold-chain logistics

  • Sound commercial acumen, ability to interpret and explain complex statistical information

  • Holistic understanding of aspects of customer service, planning and KPI management

  • Strong project management skills and data analytics, sound analytical and numerical skills

  • Ability to work under pressure effectively to meet deadlines through and with others, with the ability to identify and manage multiple and varied solutions to problems/issues

  • High attention to detail and focus on effective execution, following high standards of quality and accuracy

  • Advanced knowledge of computerized logistics/supply chain systems and reporting methodology

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, strong stakeholder management

  • Strong team and people management skills

  • Advanced Excel, good with MS Office tools, SAP ECC (highly required), Power BI

  • Excellent spoken and written English and Korean, Japanese is considered a plus
