General Manager, South Korea

About the Role:

The role of the General Manager, South Korea is responsible for driving sustainable growth, strengthening market position, and delivering business performance across sales, marketing, operations, and people leadership. The role will define and execute the country strategy, develop high-performing teams, and build strong partnerships with customers, distributors, and key stakeholders. It plays a critical part in accelerating business growth while ensuring alignment with Ferrero's values, quality standards, and long-term strategic objectives.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the country business strategy to achieve sustainable growth, profitability, and market share objectives
  • Lead annual business planning and budgeting processes, translating strategic priorities into actionable business plans
  • Monitor business performance and implement initiatives to ensure achievement of financial and commercial objectives
  • Collaborate closely with regional and global teams to align local strategies with broader business priorities
  • Define and execute the commercial strategy for the South Korea market
  • Strengthen relationships with distributors, customers, and key business partners to drive mutual growth
  • Lead the development and implementation of annual sales plans and commercial initiatives
  • Ensure effective execution of trade marketing and sales activities to maximize in-store performance and market penetration
  • Drive the successful execution of brand and marketing strategies in line with regional priorities
  • Identify market opportunities and evolving consumer trends to support business growth
  • Optimize media investments and marketing initiatives to strengthen brand equity and consumer engagement
  • Oversee successful product launches and innovation initiatives within the market
  • Monitor market dynamics, competitor activity, and consumer insights to identify growth opportunities
  • Develop strategies that enhance Ferrero market position and competitive advantage
  • Foster innovation and continuous improvement to support long-term business success
  • Champion Ferrero's commitment to product quality, freshness, and consumer satisfaction
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Partner cross-functionally to secure product availability, operational efficiency, and business continuity
  • Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing team aligned with Ferrero values and culture

About You:

  • Significant senior leadership experience within FMCG, consumer goods, or related sectors
  • Demonstrated success leading a country organization, business unit, or large commercial operation with full P&L accountability
  • Strong understanding of the South Korean consumer goods landscape, including retail channels, market dynamics, consumer trends, and regulatory considerations
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful growth strategies within the Korean market
  • Experience working within regional and global organizations, navigating diverse cultural and business environments
  • Strong strategic, commercial, and financial acumen, coupled with the ability to translate strategy into execution
  • Experience leading multifunctional teams and operating effectively within complex, matrixed multinational organizations
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, influencing, and relationship-building capabilities
  • Ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels internally and externally
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and develop high-performing teams
  • Fluent Korean and English language skills
