Chocolate Buyer
About the Role:
As Chocolate Buyer, you will help shape how Ferrero sources one of its most important raw materials.
Based in our Luxembourg HQ, you will secure supply and drive cost efficiency, while working closely with Planning, Quality, Finance, and Operations.
In this role, you will make a clear impact on business continuity, resilience, and long-term category choices, while growing your expertise in a global procurement environment.
Main Responsibilities:
You will contribute to the category strategy implementation, turning it into clear actions that support business needs and Group priorities. You will help build budgets and medium-term plans, guide quota allocation, and negotiate with suppliers so that Ferrero receives the right chocolate materials at the right level of quality, service, and cost.
Moreover, you will study the market, compare supplier offers, and identify new sourcing opportunities that can strengthen global supply and bring innovation. You will support vendor scouting and onboarding, help shape make-or-buy choices, and maintain a competitive supplier landscape that creates value while respecting Ferrero’s Code of Business Conduct.
You will also monitor suppliers’ service and quality performance, manage purchase orders and inventory with planning teams, and support claims and payment follow-up when needed. At the same time, you will help improve supplier relationships, apply contract standards, and ensure sustainability requirements are properly reflected in supplier agreements.
About You:
You bring your educational background in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or a related field, together with around 3 years of procurement experience. You have worked with suppliers, negotiations, and market analysis in a way that shows solid business understanding.
You can use Excel, PowerPoint, and Word with confidence, and you have previous experience with SAP ECC and Ariba. You work fluently in English, both written and spoken, and you know how to turn data into clear insights and practical recommendations.
You also know how to manage priorities, handle pressure, and solve issues with care and clarity. You build trust through reliable follow-through, you communicate openly with different teams, and you make decisions in line with ethical standards.
