Dairy & Fats Operations Specialist (24-months fixed-term contract)
About the Role:
You will help protect the continuity of dairy, fats and oils flows from suppliers through four strategic warehouses to Ferrero plants across Europe, ensuring materials remain available when production needs them.
Working within Central Material Management, you will connect current inventory, future demand, planned transport arrivals and warehouse capacity. Your analysis will reveal constraints early enough for teams to act before they affect production.
The role offers direct exposure to international raw-material flows and close collaboration with Procurement, Supply Chain, Quality, Plant Operating Planning, Controlling and external logistics providers. You will bring clarity to complex operational decisions.
Main Responsibilities:
You will act as an operational control tower for inbound and outbound flows, combining stock data, forecasts, supplier deliveries and transport visibility to anticipate supply risks. When coverage moves below expectations, you will raise clear alerts, align the relevant stakeholders and support practical actions such as replenishment follow-up, stock balancing that maintain material availability across European plants.
You will build stock projections and medium-term capacity scenarios that reflect seasonality, changing volumes, future plant consumption and new materials. By monitoring coverage, ageing and obsolescence exposure, you will help teams balance inventory between locations, evaluate feasible storage and flow solutions, prepare mitigation scenarios and adjust plans while protecting freshness, service and business continuity.
You will support reliable execution across assigned third-party logistics providers by following service performance, process adherence, system accuracy and operational KPIs. You will turn this information into clear risks and recommendations for stakeholders. Your insight will also contribute volume forecasts and capacity requirements to cost-to-serve analysis, warehouse tenders and improvement projects, helping optimize material flows and logistics costs without compromising continuity or quality requirements.
About You:
You bring around five years of relevant experience in supply chain operations, logistics, warehousing, material planning, inventory management or a closely related analytical position.
You can interpret figures, identify emerging risks and communicate clearly across functions. Advanced Excel skills and practical experience with SAP or another ERP support sound decisions.
A master’s degree in supply chain, logistics, industrial engineering or economics is relevant. Power BI, food-material, bulk-liquid or external logistics provider experience would add value.
