Hazelnut Company Chile - FSQ Manager Hazelnut Cleaning & Drying Facilities
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced FSQ Manager to join our Food Safety & Quality team at the Hazelnut Company Chile.
In this role, you will oversee and coordinate all quality processes and analytical activities across our Hazelnut Cleaning & Drying facilities located in the Ñuble and Araucanía regions.
You will play a pivotal part in ensuring full compliance with the company’s Food Safety and Quality standards, leading local quality teams throughout the hazelnut inbound and cleaning & drying operations.
This position requires close collaboration with key functions—including Agriculture, Supply Chain, and Procurement—to secure consistent product quality and operational excellence across the Chilean hazelnut value chain.
Main Responsibilities:
- Implement and lead the adherence to all relevant and applicable quality and food safety regulations and standards (including Ferrero Standards, FSSC 22000, and ISO 9001) across the Cleaning & Drying plants and related external storage facilities.
- Supervise quality processes during hazelnut reception and post‑drying activities, ensuring alignment and consistency across all processing centers.
- Develop and manage audit processes across drying centers, external storage facilities, and hazelnut suppliers.
- Engage with supervisory authorities and external auditing bodies, as well as with hazelnut producers, to ensure compliance and alignment with applicable quality and food safety requirements.
- Develop and manage, in alignment with the HCo Chile Quality Manager, the annual budget for the area, including workforce needs, assets, and general operating expenses.
- Review, update, and maintain quality documentation for the Cleaning & Drying Plants.
- Coordinate the activities of the assigned quality team and oversee their talent development plans.
Requirements:
Educational background:
- At least a Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food technology preferred, or other related field (Agronomy, Industrial Engineering…)
Professional experience:
- At least 3 years of proven experience within the quality function, ideally within food manufacturing or agro-industry
- Experience conducting quality management system audits (both internal and external)
- Familiarity with quality‑related standards such as ISO 9001 and FSSC 22000
- Experience in in‑process and final product quality analysis

- Previous experience with SAP
