About the Role:
As the Sales Director, Special Markets, you will spearhead Ferrero’s commercial strategy and execution across a diverse and strategically vital array of non-traditional retail channels. In this pivotal role, you will cultivate and manage customer and broker relationships within Unattended Retail (vending, micro markets), Theater, Discounters, Home Hardware, and Travel sectors. You will be entrusted with achieving revenue and trade targets, shaping long-term growth strategies, and overseeing execution across a varied customer base. Reporting directly to the Vice President, Strategic Accounts, you will play an instrumental role in unlocking new avenues of growth for Ferrero in the U.S.

Main Responsibilities:
- Own and deliver annual volume, revenue, and trade spend targets across the full Special Markets portfolio
- Lead senior-level engagement and business development across Unattended Retail, Theater, Discounters, Home Hardware, and Travel channels
- Develop and execute tailored strategies by channel and customer, grounded in shopper insights and channel-specific dynamics
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team and/or broker network, ensuring accountability and executional excellence
- Optimize trade investment to ensure ROI and alignment with Go-To-Market strategy and Ferrero financial targets
- Drive execution against DSMP (Distribution, Shelving, Merchandising, Pricing) priorities, with focus on availability and conversion
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Category Management, Trade Marketing, Demand Planning, and Sales Operations to drive end-to-end execution
- Deliver forecasting accuracy and performance reporting to ensure clear visibility into business health and risks
- Lead customer business reviews, Top-to-Top meetings, and long-range planning to expand Ferrero’s footprint in high-growth formats
- Manage senior-level broker relationships and ensure strategic alignment and execution of priorities
Who we are looking for:
- 8+ years of experience in Customer Development, Sales Strategy, or Channel Management within the CPG industry
- Demonstrated success managing complex or non-traditional retail accounts and unlocking white space growth
- Experience in one or more relevant channels (e.g., Vending, Foodservice, Theater, Value/Discount, Hardware, or Travel Retail) preferred
- Strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and problem-solving ability
- Proven ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and manage through ambiguity
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to align internal and external partners
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
