IT COE Finance Solution Test & Design
About the Role:
We are currently looking for an IT accounting Solution Designer and Testing (FI) who will be part of IT Finance Center of Expertise Team located in Pune, India and he/she will report to the IT COE Finance DC Asia.
Main Responsibilities:
- Strong functional expertise in SAP FI and CO ERP and S/4 HANA.
- Analyse business requirements and translate them into SAP FICO solutions.
- Configure and implement SAP FI (GL, AP, AR, AA, Bank Accounting) and CO (Cost Centers, Profit Centers, Internal Orders, Product Costing, COPA) in ECC 6, S4 HANA system.
- Handle integration points with other SAP modules (MM, SD, PP, HCM, etc.).
- Experience in the implementation and compliance of Indian GST (Goods and Services Tax) regulations.
- Experience in implementing Indian Income Tax systems and processes.
- Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
- Work with business users to troubleshoot and resolve SAP functional and technical issues.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to external resources, assign capabilities and collaborate with other IT teams in cross initiatives/projects/run activities.
- Experience in preparing detailed documentation including functional specifications, test scripts, and training materials.
- Participate and contribute in SAP rollout projects, upgrades, and enhancement activities.
- Provide post-implementation support and user training.
- Good understanding of EDI/IDocs, process codes, partner profiles. Hands on experience on SAP Interfaces willl be considered a plus.
About You:
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, Accounting, or Information Technology.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEGE REQUIRED:
- 5–10 years of SAP FICO experience, including at least one full-cycle implementation.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial processes, and controlling concepts.
- Expertise in configuring FI submodules (GL, AP, AR, AA) and CO submodules (CCA, PCA, IO, COPA, PCA).
- Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA Finance (if applicable).
- Good understanding of integration with SD, MM, and PP modules.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a cross-functional team environment.
- Experience in manufacturing industries/FMCG industries is preferable.
