Category Management Specialist

About the Role:

The primary responsibility of the Category Management Specialist is to support the Category Manager and other teams (primarily Sales and Marketing) in operational and analytical activities. The role involves preparing materials for assortment recommendations and in-store assortment organization, collaborating on the creation and updates of planograms, and contributing to the identification of business opportunities and risks through data analysis. The specialist supports the implementation of category and brand strategies and, in cooperation with the Category Manager, assists in building Ferrero categories in the market and prepares materials for the company’s clients.

Main Responsibilities:

  • CATEGORY MANAGEMENT

    • Assist in monitoring Ferrero category and product performance (sales, SKU closures) and competitive products.

    • Support analysis of available data (sell-in/sell-out) to identify key drivers, risks, and growth opportunities for customers or channels.

    • Prepare basic client analyses and contribute to recommendations.
  • SHOPPER MARKETING/SHOPPER INFORMATION
    • Support in developing and maintaining a good understanding of the competitive landscape, customer, and consumer trends/insights.
    • Assist in analyzing studies to improve knowledge of shopper needs and consumer behavior in different retail environments.
    • Help translate shopper insights into actionable retail opportunities.
  • SALES ANALYSIS
    • Assist in utilizing available data and analyses; support in creating and maintaining basic reports using internal and external data sources.
    • Help the sales team evaluate potential growth opportunities.
    • Contribute to developing and maintaining knowledge of competitors, customer needs, and behavior; monitor consumer trends and insights.

About You:

  • University degree
  • Ideally 1-3 years experience
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to work with data
  • Good understanding of product assortment and category principles
  • Knowledge of trends of customers behavior
  • Czech language on professional level, English advanced
