About the Role:

You’ve always loved it—now be part of it! As Trade Promotion Manager, you’ll take the lead in analyzing trade spend and developing strategies to boost promotional efficiency. Your focus will be on enhancing business planning by establishing consistent evaluation methods aligned with budget targets for each fiscal period.

In this role, you’ll work closely with Sales Teams, Sales Finance, Trade Marketing, and RGM to ensure alignment on go-to-market strategies, gross margin goals, and budget adherence. Leveraging core business management principles, you’ll implement structured processes to oversee trade investment activities and uphold promotional guidelines.

 

This role is hybrid, and will be based out of our North America HQ in Parsippany, NJ, or at our Chicago, IL commercial office. 

Main Responsibilities:

•    Partner with the Sales and Finance functions to analyze the performance of trade promotions to continuously optimize trade promo efficiency
•    Drive accountability through due diligence using accurate data and metrics 
•    Manage customer forecasts and trade spend to ensure budgets are achieved and customer plans align within spending guidelines
•    Work closely with the VPs/Directors of Sales Channels to ensure teams are validating spend by brand to achieve fiscal budget targets
•    Leverage analytical tools (SAPTM/Power BI/SAP Analytics/Excel) to understand spending implications between brands and understand channel mix drivers
•    Lead weekly/monthly meetings with Channel teams, conduct budget variance analysis vs forecast and ensure a solutions-oriented process/approach
•    Partner with Sales Finance to conduct monthly trade reconciliation analysis vs budget expectations
•    Collaborate with Finance organization on Monthly Business reviews; share spending trends to help identify key business drivers
•    Work with Trade Marketing to align on brand DSMP strategy guidelines to ensure plans adhere to requirements
•    Challenge, inspire and advise Sales Teams to achieve business goals/results by effectively managing their trade funds within their budget requirements
•    Maintain and track performance of trade spend and implications on business by Customer / Channel

Who we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field; MBA preferred
  • 4+ years of experience in SalesSales Finance, or Trade Promotion Management
  • Strong financial acumen and P&L understanding
  • Experience with TPM systems (SAP TPM, Blue Planner, Siebel, etc.)
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Highly analytical with strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Compensation Data

The base salary range for this position is $110,000 - $135,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This range represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time.
