About the Role:
You have always loved it, now be part of it! Ferrero is searching for our next Senior Trade Marketing Manager to lead the in-store strategy and execution for our premium chocolate brand in a fast-paced consumer packaged goods (CPG) environment. In this role, you’ll drive Go-to-Market (GTM) plans, lead cross-functional collaboration, and manage a high-performing team to deliver results across mass, grocery, convenience, e-commerce, and discount channels.
This position is hybrid and will be based out of our North American HQ in Parsippany, NJ.
Main Responsibilities:
In-Store Activity Strategy
- Develop and execute the in-store activity strategy to bring the brand to life at retail.
- Lead the creation and rollout of Go-to-Market plans including Distribution, Shelving, Merchandising, and Pricing (DSMP).
- Define KPI objectives aligned with Class of Trade trends and brand strategy.
- Partner with Trade Business Intelligence to shape the Trade Investment strategy.
- Build and manage the in-store activity calendar by session and channel.
- Create sales support tools (e.g., seasonal and everyday display catalogs).
- Monitor competitive activity to inform business planning.
POS/Display & Pack Architecture
- Co-develop in-store activations and POS materials with Marketing.
- Collaborate with customer teams to drive growth and profitability.
- Build pack/price architecture frameworks to unlock channel and customer opportunities.
Annual Planning & Trade Investment
- Optimize Trade Spend Effectiveness with Revenue Management and Trade BI.
- Co-develop brand budgets (volume and revenue) with Marketing.
- Provide input to S&OP on distribution, promotion, and channel strategy.
- Align with Sales, Finance, and Shopper Marketing on trade spend and eCommerce investments.
Cross-Functional & Strategic Leadership
- Present GTM plans to the VP of Sales and Regional Marketing Head.
- Present annual plans to the VP of Trade Marketing & Category Management.
- Cascade plans to the Sales Organization and support Joint Business Plans (JBPs).
- Lead the monthly CAM (Category Activity Meeting) and support the Monthly Business Review (MBR) with trade insights.
- Input seasonal volume forecasts and update Demand Planning on NPD and display changes.
Team Leadership & People Development
- Recruit, coach, and develop a high-performing team.
- Foster a collaborative, motivated culture with clear goals and development plans.
- Maintain a strong succession pipeline and promote high employee engagement.
Who we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing required; MBA preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in CPG trade marketing or sales.
- Proven success across multi-channel CPG: C-store, Mass, Grocery, Dollar, e-Comm, and EU Discounters.
- Deep experience in Brand, Trade, and Customer Marketing with strong JBP execution.
- Inspirational leadership and team management experience.
- Strong communication and stakeholder influence skills.
- Commercially astute with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, OneNote).
- Skilled in presenting category insights to internal and external stakeholders.
- High integrity, collaborative mindset, and alignment with company values.
Compensation Data
The base salary range for this position is $146,000 - $196,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This range represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time.
