About the Role:

As the Channel Marketing Director, Club, you will be the driving force behind the Field Sales team, acting as their “Chief of Staff.” Your analytical prowess will uncover growth opportunities, and your compelling presentations will champion the company’s initiatives.

 

In this dynamic role, you will be the key liaison between our HQ’s cross-functional Ferrero teams and the Club Team and Broker agencies. Your expertise will shine as you create scorecards to monitor and analyze sales performance, spotlighting key brand priorities and identifying emerging category trends.

 

This position is Hybrid, based in our North American HQ in Parsippany, N.J. office. This role will report directly to the VP of Club.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Annual Planning & Business Reviews: Manage the annual planning and session business reviews with the Club Team and internal cross-functional teams.
  • Sales & Trade Rate Targets: Deliver volume, net sales, and trade rate targets across the channel and manage tracking.
  • KPI & PPA Priorities: Drive accountability with the Field Sales team and internal teams to deliver top KPI and PPA priorities for Club.
  • Presentations: Create business reviews, line reviews, new product launch presentations, and seasonal presentations for our Club customers (Costco, Sam’s Club, BJ’s) and the leadership team.
  • Team Meetings: Facilitate and lead weekly and monthly team meetings with the Club Team and Trade Marketing partners.
  • Channel Strategy: Co-develop the channel strategy with the VP for rolling 3-year periods.
  • Promotional Analysis: Analyze post-promotional events, promotional effectiveness, distribution opportunities, assortment recommendations, and seasonal sell-through.
  • Scorecards: Develop innovative scorecards to analyze business performance and complete ad hoc requests for SLT/ELT.
  • Global Coordination: Coordinate scorecards across all customer global geographies.
  • Actionable Insights: Provide actionable insights on performance, trends, and opportunities to the team.
  • Planning Support: Provide supporting material and recommendations for the planning process.
  • Trade Spend Analysis: Analyze trade spend compared to sales performance and targets.
  • Relationship Management: Develop and maintain relationships with cross-functional teams and broker partners.
  • Data Utilization: Utilize data sources to analyze the data and create compelling sales stories.

Who we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, M.B.A. is a plus
  • 5+ years of CPG experience
  • Forecasting and Trade management experience 
  • Direct Sales Account management with regional or national retailers
  • Knowledge of IRI, ACN, ShopperSights, Spectra, Retail Link and RSI, 
  • Strong analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Detail oriented with solid planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a proactive and timely manner
  • Ability to generate positive relationships and foster a team environment
  • Good communication skills, including strong writing and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to travel occasionally
