About the Role:

As the Director of Marketing for Mainstream Chocolate Seasonal & Assortments, you will shape the strategic vision for Ferrero's Seasonal and Assortments businesses, driving significant top and bottom-line improvements. You will lead the innovation pipeline, assess new product potential, and execute impactful launches with comprehensive go-to-market strategies. Collaborating with Trade Marketing, Sales, Revenue Growth Management (RGM), and Finance, you will align portfolio strategies and manage the S&OP process. Your strong relationships with key retailers will drive brand and retailer growth objectives. You will analyze market dynamics, solve strategic problems, and create execution roadmaps. Additionally, you will oversee P&L and A&P for Seasonal and Assorted brands, manage creative agencies, and lead a team of direct reports and cross-functional associates. Your leadership will implement a clear brand vision, supervise business performance, and drive innovation for FMC Seasonal, ensuring accelerated growth and profitability.

 

This position is Hybrid, based out of our North American HQ in Parsippany, NJ. The role reports to the SVP Marketing, Kinder & FMC North America.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide a strategic vision for the Seasonal business  (Big 4 Seasons + other seas) & the Assortments everyday business. The scope is Ferrero Mainstream Chocolate (FMC) brands and Mainstream Assortments (not limited to Chocolate)
  • Elaborate and recommend the Brands PS3 (strategic plan) to SVP, Regional board and Area CBO.
  • Top and bottom-line improvement.
  • Lead the development of the Innovation pipeline including assessing potential for new product launches (renovation and innovation) and developing business cases to support the launch of new products/categories.
  • Lead the execution of Innovation launches including developing go to market strategy and associated launch plan, managing timeline and driving alignment with key stakeholders locally and globally.
  • Definition of brand portfolio, product mix per channel 
  • Work closely with Trade Marketing and sales organization ensuring correct go to market strategy.
  • Lead key stakeholders' alignment (up to Area CBO) over portfolio strategy  & development. Oversee development & execution phase.
  • Partner with Revenue Growth Management (RGM), Finance, to develop and execute PPA strategy for both national and customer-specific portfolios.
  • Manage, in partnership with cross-functional partners, all activities related to the S&OP process: mid-term sales forecast and long-term capacity analysis.
  • Define and lead product and license partnership aimed to increase the portfolio breadth and depth.
  • Manage top to top relationship with key retailer partners aligning on strategies and joint business planning to deliver brand and retailer’s growth objectives.
  • Understand brand and market dynamics and translate into growth strategies for Mainstream Choco Seasonal and new category innovation.
  • Solve complex strategic problems and develop roadmaps to execute against this strategy with the appropriate tactics
  • Responsible for Assorted brand P&L and A&P (Seasonal & Assorted); Knowledgeable about “zero based budget” approach.
  • Interact with the Brand marketing team for the creative, media and PR agency management to drive quality creative work for the brand.
  • Support key cross-functional internal relationships, including Category Management, Trade Marketing, Sales Operations and Sales Account Teams.

Who we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in Brand marketing, Trade Marketing or related roles within the consumer goods industry.
  • Strategic thinking and long-term brand vision mapping

  • Experience in key channels of trade of Convenience, Food, Drug, Mass, Club and E-commerce (Brick and Click and Pure Play) is a must
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and develop actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to direct her/his colleagues and team to set priorities and execute.
