About the Role:

As the Channel Marketing Analyst, Strategic Accounts, you will support the Channel Marketing Director and Strategic Channel Leadership Team in driving the sales agenda for the Value Channel. You will coordinate internal sales processes, forecast volumes, and provide data-driven insights to create business reviews and presentations. Your analysis will optimize trade spend, promotional effectiveness, and KPI attainment. Additionally, you will manage customer allocations, maintain cross-functional relationships, and ensure efficient order management and logistics. Your contributions will be key in achieving sales growth and monthly volume targets.

 

This position is Hybrid, requiring 3 days in office at our North American HQ in Parsippany, NJ

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the Channel Marketing Director for the Strategic Channel Leadership Team in the sales function 
  • Support the strategic sales agenda for the channel and influence the internal commercial sales team to ensure the right resources and investment levels to win in highly competitive marketplace. 
  • Coordinate and execute the sales internal process and oversee volume forecasts 
  • Be an active participant in the planning process, providing supporting material and recommendations
  • Mine customer data and leverage to support creation of business reviews, line reviews, new product launch presentations, seasonal presentations, innovation sessions, JBP’s and Top to Top meetings on behalf of Value Channel sales team 
  • Provide actionable insights through data on performance, trends and opportunities to the team
  • Utilize data sources (i.e., IRI, ACN, Spectra, POL, Kantar, Power BI, SAP) to analyze the data and create compelling sales stories
  • Develop and execute new and innovative scorecards to analyze business performance and complete ad hoc requests for the sales and leadership teams
  • Manage and update the KPI attainment throughout the year, and represent the team on KPI calls when needed
  • Assist in management annual trade budget 
  • Facilitate the non-promoted and promoted planning for Trade Promotions Management
  • Assist Channel Marketing Director in volume and trade discussions on a weekly basis ensuring team stays within budget and continues to drive sales, while achieving monthly volume targets
  • Analyze trade spend compared to sales performance and targets
  • Analyze post promotional events, promotional effectiveness, distribution opportunities, assortment recommendations and seasonal sell through
  • Manage the allocations process of strategic customers
  • Develop and maintain relationships with cross functional teams 
  • Act as the customer logistics provider for all Value Channel customers
  • Facilitate end to end order management in conjunction with customer logistics team
  • Maintain JBP scorecard aligned to with customer measuring key financial metrics

Who we are looking for:

  • At least 3+ years’ CPG experience 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, M.B.A. is a plus
  • Data analytics experience and knowledge of IRI, ACN, ShopperSights, Spectra, Retail Link, RSI and EYC etc. 
  • Sales experience a plus
  • Strong math, analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Detailed oriented with solid planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a proactive and timely manner
  • Ability to generate positive relationships and foster a team environment
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task while meeting project deadlines
  • Strong organizational agility and relationship building a must
  • Strong process improvement skills
  • Good communication skills, including strong writing and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and exceptional excel and powerpoint skills
  • Ability to travel approximately 10%
