About the Role:

As Senior Finance Analyst - Category Controlling, you will serve as a strategic partner to bring an understanding of Finance, value creation and business drivers.  You will support the business stakeholders in data collection to prepare financial proposals, verify assumptions and share recommendations.  You will influence decisions that maximize value for the organization.  You’ll be supporting delivery of overall objectives and ensure the integrity, timeliness of reporting and forecasting. 

Main Responsibilities:

•    Execute aspects of finance planning and performance management process including financial performance reporting/analysis, financial modeling.
•    Help the business to prepare critical financial data and insight that enable perspectives for business strategies and decisions.  Support analytical and business frameworks as well as a quantitative approach to decision-making that shape the overall strategic course of the organization.
•    Focus on operations including but not limited to business assessment of new product initiatives, economic evaluation of capital expenditures, and business process redesign.
•    Analyze financial results and key trends, assess current and future business risks, and communicate results to leadership.  Raise awareness to the business about opportunities & risks based on SKU Portfolio performance.
•    Support projects to improve efficiencies and embrace a mindset of continuous improvement.
•    Involvement with special projects related to business development, strategic growth and ad hoc analysis.
•    Hone your negotiation and influencing skills by leading your business partners in guiding the business towards long term success. Interact cross functionally with Marketing, Sales or Supply Chain with ownership of specific category from a finance lens. The role will touch all aspects of the business, including what new products will be launched and where further investments are allocated.  

About You:

•    Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required; MBA or CPA strongly preferred
•    Minimum of 4 years of relevant finance experience required.  
•    Experience in Brand/Marketing, Sales, Financial Reporting, or Financial Planning is an asset 
•    Demonstrates proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or other relevant software is an asset
•    Knowledge of financial reporting systems is preferred (Hyperion Financial Management and Essbase)  
•    Knowledge of SAP (FI/CO modules) is an asset
•    Solid expertise in reporting tools and models.  Demonstrates their ability to integrate data-driven decision-making into finance-related roles.
•    A strong analytical mindset, capable of utilizing data and analytics to identify trends and draw meaningful conclusions 
•    Effective communication skills to influence, build relationships and collaborate with team members across various levels of the organization 
•    Experience in creating and implementing operational improvement solutions to drive efficiencies
•    A proactive work ethic, able to take initiative in managing tasks, escalate questions / issues promptly, and ensure timely follow-through 
•    Strong organizational skills, a high-level attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple workstreams 
•    Ability to work independently and in teams

Compensation Data

The base salary range for this position is $103,148.00 - $137,530.00. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This range represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time.
