Team Lead - Warehouse

About the Role:

The Warehouse Team Lead ensures that the appropriate computer transactions and necessary paperwork is processed according to SOPP.  Maintains a clean, organized and safe warehouse facility.  Ensures that all goods stored in the finished goods warehouse are handled properly.  Ensures that outbound freight is secured, labeled, and that trucks are in appropriate condition to handle our products.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate & direct flow of packaging to assigned area.
  2. Set-up pick areas as assigned.
  3. Report inventory and warehouse activity as requested.
  4. Direct seasonal personnel help in completion of daily assigned warehouse requirements.
  5. Cross-train warehouse attendants when required.
  6. Prints labels for shipments to meet customer requirements.
  7. Release, print and pull sales orders.
  8. Loads customer pick ups as necessary
  9. Reports any inventory inaccuracies to supervisor and performs any inventory counts as required
  10. Charge Forklifts as needed or change batteries as required
  11. Ensure outbound trucks are properly cleaned and maintained at the point of loading
  12. Responsible to uphold and maintain the food safety and quality systems.

About You:

Education or Experience

  • Sufficient reading level to understand written requirements and Bills of Lading, and simple arithmetic.  
  • 1 to 2 years of related experience.

Physical

  • Ability to lift up to 75lbs occasionally, stand for up to 8 hours, peripheral and depth perception to properly navigate a forklift.
  • Ability to work in cold environment.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations

  • Forklift and electric pallet jack certifications or ability to obtain one.

Computer Skills

  • Thorough understanding of basic computer principles to properly enter receipt and transfer information.
