About the Role:

We have a current opening for a Consumer Research & Insights Specialist and are actively reviewing applications.

 

As the Consumer Research & Insights Specialist, Canada, you will help transform consumer and shopper data into insights that drive business decisions across Ferrero's brands and categories. Working closely with the Consumer & Shopper Understanding (CSU) Manager and cross-functional partners, you'll support research initiatives, analyze multiple data sources, and develop reports that identify opportunities and inform strategy.

 

In this role, you'll build expertise in consumer insights, market research, and syndicated data analysis while helping answer key business questions through primary research and data-driven recommendations. You'll also collaborate with industry-leading partners, including Nielsen and Numerator, to uncover actionable insights and keep the business connected to evolving consumer and market trends.

 

This role is hybrid, and will be based out of our Canada Commercial Offices in North York.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Business Performance Reporting and Analysis: Deliver monthly cross category reporting of volume, sales and share by channel and analysis of performance drivers
  • Business Performance Measurement: Lead analysis of Nielsen Retail Panel, Numerator Consumer Panel, and the BVC equity measurement tool to measure business performance and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Research Planning and Budgeting: In collaboration with the brand teams, define consumer research needs with respect to brand strategies, budget for those needs, and execute plan within budget. Identify capability gaps, emerging needs, and new technologies that will create competitive advantage
  • Project and Stakeholder Management: Manage projects with respect to timing, budget, agreed deliverables, and needs of multiple stakeholders.
  • Inform and Influence: Analyze results and communicate in a clear and compelling manner to influence decisions.
  • Multicultural Marketing: Take the lead on Multicultural Marketing capturing key consumer and market insights leading to the articulation of a preliminary strategy and the optimization of areas of focus for execution.
  • Shopper Insights: Generate channel and shopper insights that help Ferrero and Retailers optimize performance

About You:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in consumer research in Consumer Packaged Goods, ideally both on the manufacturer and agency sides
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing research, or social sciences is preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of syndicated data (Nielsen/Circana/Numerator) or other qualitative/analytical related areas
  • Proficiency in Nielsen/Numerator database structure, metrics, and analytical tools
  • General understanding about a range of quantitative and qualitative research methods including concept testing, sensory evaluation, communication testing, packaging and graphics testing, price testing, test marketing, segmentation, attitude and usage research, advertising tracking and brand equity measurement
  • Strong analytical skills and experience translating consumer and market data into actionable insights
  • Strong project management skills
  • Sound commercial understanding and marketing acumen
  • Demonstrated understanding of statistical analysis including multivariate methods
  • Demonstrated understanding of Canadian consumer culture and trends
  • Excellent skills in oral and written communication and in formal presentations
  • Insightful, analytical, curious, articulate, passionate, flexible, organized, collaborative, proactive, strategic thinker, consulting mindset
  • Advanced skills in PowerPoint and Excel

What We Offer:

The base salary range for this position is $83,981.00 - $111,974.00 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This range represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time.
