About the Role:

As the National Account Manager, you will lead, inspire, and drive the discount channel to exceed targets and deliver in-store execution to the highest level with retailers such as Aldi and Costco. You will be building relationships internally and externally to grow the channel, develop promotional programs, accelerate growth, and improve the ROI. 

This role works within an exciting team, and in a channel where there is room for Ferrero to grow and there are plenty of opportunities available. You will be a mix of analytical and personable, with both traits being highly important for the role. 

Main Responsibilities:

You will be the key point of contact for your clients and are there to solve problems and develop strategies for growth in line with Ferrero’s internal plans. Being the key contact will include monitoring retail and promotional pricing, responsibility over sales forecasting, planning seasonal events and activations, ensuring sales performance in line with expectations, and providing input for internal forecasting. 

To develop and grow clients, you will work cross functionally to drive joint business planning and flawless execution from end to end. This will include identifying growth drivers, innovating sales solutions and paths to purchase, analysing data to deliver actionable insights, and proactively developing course correction plans to ensure results are delivered and aligned to strategy from a customer, shopper and category perspective. 

As a strong negotiator, you will utilize a variety of strategies to develop a mutually beneficial solution for all parties. You will understand the customer strategy and bring those insights into internal activities such as customer planning sessions, range reviews, joint business plans, promotional plans, and execution strategies to ensure alignment between our customers and Ferrero. You will prepare and present the Point of Purchase strategies for assigned clients and support the Customer Director in preparation for their negotiations.

You will gain trust and respect with our customers to develop and maintain effective relationships across diverse audiences. This will help you gather information and use it to improve our strategy. To be able to provide insights, you will be knowledgeable in policies, practices, trends, technology and information that may impact the channel, and will keep stakeholders up to date.

With strong financial acumen, you will achieve sales budgets, and utilise financial levers to drive value through pricing and ROI to drive profitable sales. You will manage the related budgets, promotional spend, and achievement of financial targets in alignment with commercial policies.

Who we are looking for:

As a degree qualified professional, you have experience within the FMCG industry as well as exceptional negotiation and communication skills. You understand the commercial and financial side of the role and are able to provide insights based on sales data. 

The role will be fast paced, and you will be able to prioritise and manage customer needs, while maintaining strong relationships internally and externally.  You are goal driven and deliver extraordinary results every time.
