About the Role:

The role is responsible for all tasks and activities related to Commercial, Overheads and Supply Chain Planning and Controlling, Capex, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Planning and Controlling activities at Australia New Zealand (ANZ) Cluster level. The position ensures proper internal operating planning process (Budget, Forecast) respecting Group / Company timings, as well as management and reliability of all Australia New Zealand (ANZ) financial data.

The role interacts with all departments to ensure the provision of monthly closings and interacts with the local and central teams on explanation of the deviations from the budget/forecasts. It takes an active role in providing the ANZ CFO, ANZ Management team and all relevant stakeholders with insights, analysis and recommendations of commercial financial levers and comment value chain results, as well as provide corrective action plans if needed. The position ensures compliance with the procedures for loading into the information systems of the financial data (actual and budget/forecasts).

Main Responsibilities:

  • Hold full responsibility in understanding assumptions and results of budget and forecasts at ANZ Cluster level to ensure the holistic achievement of ANZ Cluster targets vs Guidelines for all controlling functions
  • Liaise with and coordinate ANZ Cluster departments to elaborate the ANZ Cluster budget and forecast
  • Ensure the timing required for compliance with the Planning/Budget/Budget review (SAF) process
  • Manage monthly review of ANZ Cluster Risks & Opportunities for year-end forecast to prepare synthesis and approval from respective teams
  • Support ANZ Cluster CFO providing relevant information related to the strategy and medium-term objectives
  • Collect and validate all financial data from different local Departments (e.g. Overheads, Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain or Operations), ensure the Departments reporting of actual versus Budget / Forecast data
  • Perform daily planning and controlling activities to ensure alignment at Central / Area Level
  • Analyze the ANZ Cluster financial results and identify improvement areas for commercial, overheads and supply chain costs, balance sheet and cash flow controlling
  • Perform analysis and financial evaluation of the pricing strategy and Gross to Net evolution
  • Be responsible for monthly and year-end closings activities, performing variance analysis e.g. pricing, respective costs, product margins, overheads, A&P, CAPEX, stock, cash flow, balance sheet, and develop recommendations for corrective actions to be shared with ANZ Cluster Management
  • Prepare analysis for the control of investments and advertising promotions
  • Support all departments during monthly closing activities, in terms of analysis by providing specific information
  • Authorize Marketing and Trade spending in coherence with local Budget/Guidelines, support the Trade Terms contracts process (Gross to Net impact and total PL impact)
  • Control performances at customer / channel level, overheads, and customer P&L
  • Co-share monthly possible improvement recommendations with respective teams on local and regional level
  • Assure the implementation of Group Operating standards and Policies in the area of Controlling; support the deployment of transformational initiatives / projects
  • Monitor evolution of DSO, DIO and DPO and constantly recommend actions of improvement
  • Consolidate and understanding stock evaluation analysis at ANZ Cluster level; monitor the destruction costs
  • Support the central entities in calculating the transfer prices under the responsibility of the Group for preparing Budget / SAF
  • Support all Departments in deployment of ANZ Cluster driven initiatives / projects with the focus on financial aspects
  • Review and sign contracts in coherence with power of attorney
  • Hold accountability for managing people assigned, ensuring a management system based on Group values, motivation, diversity and inclusion, competence development and empowerment, professional development, evaluations and proposing development initiatives
  • Promote proper team communication and cascading

Who we are looking for:

  • University degree, major in Finance, CA / CPA / MBA required
  • Strong relevant experience, controlling background; strong knowledge of performance monitoring and planning, budgeting, profit analysis, transfer pricing
  • Knowledge of FMCG industry and Supply Chain processes
  • Solid analytical and project management skills, ability to work in a high-pace environment across teams and functions
  • Good interpersonal, communication, teamworking and collaboration skills
  • Advanced MS Office knowledge, Excel proficiency; SAP / Oracle / Essbase / Hyperion, reporting tools
  • Strong team management capability
