About the Role:

The Production Supervisor- 3rd Shift is responsible for the associates and equipment assigned on their shift. The manager is charged with attaining all operational goals in their area by ensuring safety, quality, efficiency, cost control, appropriate systems entries, and sanitation.  The manager must also maintain a satisfied and motivated staff by addressing poor performance and recognizing outstanding performers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Complete all jobs in any area as assigned by Director of Operations or Area Manager
  • Ensure the flow of operations in the area through appropriate staffing, and line assembly based on standardized staffing requirements
  • Required to set up the production lines to ensure operational efficiency and line speed attainment, including retrieving items from bill of materials, product specs and directives
  • Ensure operational safety of all associates
  • Responsible to ensure all proper quality standards are maintained. All labeling is accurate, product size, color, taste, decoration, and gloss
  • Attend classes and training, when provided to increase overall operational knowledge
  • Ensure that any Quality and Production deviation are handled in the plant CAPA system
  • Report daily on production matric with preventable corrective actions for any deviations
  • Participate or Lead projects to help improve plant metrics
  • Prepare performance documents for assigned associates (evaluations, disciplinary action, attendance notices, etc.)
  • Record and correct attendance discrepancies

Who we are looking for:

Education or Experience

  • High school Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree highly preferrred
  • Understanding of basic arithmetic, reading level to understand instructions, policies, and procedures.
  • 3+ years of Supervisory experience within the Manufacturing setting

Physical

  • Lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, stooping, kneeling, walking, standing for extended periods, frequently repeated manual tasks.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations

  • Forklift and pallet jack certifications or the ability to obtain one.

Computer Skills

  • Advanced Excel Skills
  • Power Point skills
  • Basic computer entry for inventory control purposes
