About the Role:

For our Ferrero HQ in Luxembourg, we are looking for a Packaging Category Controller who will join our dynamic central Finance team and will have Group responsibilities on the strategic business segment of Procurement Packaging.  

Main Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for overseeing all activities related to Procurement Packaging Controlling, including planning, month-end closing, category reviews, project tracking, and standard cost validation. You will also be involved in overhead cost control, ensuring accurate financial tracking and reporting.


You will analyze deviations between actual packaging costs and targets, providing clear explanations to support the Procurement Category Leader in achieving objectives. Your role includes performing data analysis, tracking price variations, evaluating projects, and contributing to long-term contract preparations. Additionally, you will monitor market price trends and contract coverage to assess potential risks and opportunities.


You will be responsible for validating and uploading standard packaging costs within the assigned perimeter and approving purchasing documents. Managing cost-related controlling tasks, you will take appropriate actions to support business decisions. Your ability to work as part of a team and take ownership of assigned tasks will be essential in this role.

Who we are looking for:

Thanks to your degree in economics and 2-4 years of experience in a controlling role, you will be able to contribute effectively to financial analysis and reporting. Your proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle will support data management and analysis. Fluency in English will be essential for communication within the team and with other stakeholders.


You will work both independently and as part of a team, ensuring tasks are completed with a proactive and responsible approach. Your ability to meet deadlines and apply soft skills in daily interactions will contribute to a smooth workflow.


Your knowledge of controlling activities and variance analysis will allow you to support financial performance monitoring and contribute to process improvements.
