O&I Research&Development and Sustainability
About the Role:
Based at Ferrero Group Headquarters in Luxembourg, you will take on the role of Organization & Improvement Manager for Research & Development and Sustainability, within the People and Organization Department.
You will play a pivotal role in driving organizational evolution across the Research & Development, Packaging, and Sustainability functions, with a strong focus on governance frameworks, processes, and systems that enable the achievement of business objectives.
In this position, you will lead the design and implementation of organizational initiatives across this perimeter, ensuring they effectively support business needs while promoting consistent and robust governance across systems.
Main Responsibilities:
As part of your role and in terms of R&D Process Design, Governance & Systems, you will design and implement end‑to‑end R&D processes across the full product value chain, ensuring alignment and effective collaboration with key stakeholders such as Raw Materials, Categories and Local R&D, Marketing, Packaging, and Food Safety & Quality. You will ensure processes and systems remain robust and up to date in line with organizational evolution, acting as a key interface with IT, Documental Process Management, and R&D Raw Materials to drive implementation with a continuous improvement mindset. You will also contribute to the definition and update of Group policies and procedures impacting technical domains, in close collaboration with GRC‑GB Soremartec, while supporting the integration of new categories into R&D governance, processes, and systems.
In terms of Continuous Improvement & Process Excellence, you will lead initiatives aimed at streamlining, standardizing, and optimizing R&D processes, tools, and ways of working. As part of this, you will conduct gap analyses to identify and prioritize improvement opportunities, providing clear recommendations and proactively advising the functional leadership team.
In relation to Organizational Design, Roles & Responsibilities, you will define and embed clear roles, responsibilities, and decision rights aligned with the evolving R&D operating model, ensuring clarity across governance bodies, interfaces, and handovers, and supporting grading and evaluation activities where relevant. You will also establish and run governance routines, including steering forums, decision frameworks, escalation paths, and cadences, to enable timely decisions and effective execution.
While on Change Management & Adoption, you will act as a change enabler by providing methodologies, tools, and coaching to support transformation initiatives. You will drive stakeholder engagement and communication plans to build alignment, manage resistance, and sustain adoption. In close partnership with R&D, Packaging, and Sustainability functions, you will support the identification, piloting, and scaling of AI‑enabled use cases, ensuring their effective adoption through guidance, upskilling, and adapted ways of working. More broadly, you will act as a change agent by developing clear rationales, strong storytelling, and structured transformation journeys to reinforce engagement and long‑term adoption.
About You:
You bring 10–15 years of solid professional experience, preferably gained in management consulting and/or within a complex FMCG environment. You have a strong track record in leading transformation initiatives for technical functions and are familiar with innovation processes.
You demonstrate strong change management and influencing skills, with the ability to provide leadership in large, complex organizations. Your profile combines solid analytical capabilities with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders and drive alignment across multiple initiatives.
You are results‑oriented, able to set the pace, balance priorities, and execute multiple initiatives in parallel. Your experience and passion for process design and harmonization, together with a deep knowledge of Project Management and Change Management principles, methodologies, and tools, will enable you to successfully deliver on the role’s objectives.
Fluency in Italian and English is required to operate effectively in a multicultural and international context, as the role involves close collaboration with key R&D and engineering teams based in Italy, as well as regular interaction with Italian-speaking stakeholders.
