About the Role:
For our Ferrero HQs in Luxembourg, we are currently looking for a Category Planning Specialist (1 year fixed-term contract), who will be will reporting directly to the Category Planning Manager and will collaborate with several central functions (such as PG, AMM, Operations Area Planning etc.) and local functions (such as Plants).
As Category Planning Specialist, you will support the team within the activities linked to the overall planning, capacity assessment for mid-term horizon and product portfolio interacting with other Category Planning Specialists as well as the Global Presidency and Area Marketing.
Main Responsibilities:
You will support the Category Planning team in several key areas related to mid-term production planning and operations analysis. Through your involvement in the S&OP process, you will contribute to the definition of production allocation across Group Plants, taking into account capacity, constraints, and industrial variables such as formats and flavors.
Thanks to your analytical capabilities, you will help assess production capacity within the 3 year planning horizon and support alignment between the product portfolio and catalogue management. This includes analyzing innovations, evaluating the impact of new CU/TU introductions, and contributing to product harmonization in line with established guidelines.
You will also take part in defining arbitrage processes in cases of supply shortages or production capacity changes, in collaboration with the Global Presidency. In addition, you will support various analyses related to Operations Category Planning, ensuring consistency and integration of planning activities across teams.
Who we are looking for:
Thanks to your academic background in Economics or Industrial/Management Engineering, you will bring an analytical approach to production planning. Ideally, you have up to 3 years of experience, allowing you to apply your knowledge in a dynamic environment.
You will use your skills in planning and project management, along with proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and MS Access (preferred). Familiarity with planning platforms will be useful, and fluency in English is required. Additional language skills would be an asset.
Your ability to manage complex situations with multiple variables, combined with attention to detail and problem-solving skills, will support decision-making. You are proactive, accountable, and capable of working effectively with various stakeholders, fostering strong professional relationships to contribute to team objectives.
Thanks to your excellent interpersonal skills, you will be able to interact professionally and effectively with senior management and stakeholders across Commercial and Operational functions.
You will build strong working relationships and internal networks, enabling you to support and align cross-functional teams and contribute to coordinated business actions within an integrated team environment.
