About the Role:

The role is based in the Ferrero Headquarters in Luxembourg and reports professionally and managerially to Area FSQ Manager Europe

 

In this role you will manage, evaluate and monitor, in the perimeter of Area Europe, the industrial and commercial third-party suppliers to ensure adherence to agreed FSQ contract standards, acting as a Ferrero line referent in case of business issues.  

 

You will manage professionally the regional and local teams, and you will be the point of reference for internal and external stakeholders. You will be at the forefront of planning area activities, collecting priorities, and ensuring alignment with both central and local requirements and managing local teams based on priorities.  

 

Your expertise will be crucial in coordinating the development and monitoring of third-party suppliers, structuring central and local governance and ensuring their application within Area Europe. 

Main Responsibilities:

Your main responsibilities will include the evaluation of the adequacy for Commercial & Industrial third-party suppliers acting as a Ferrero line referent contact. You will ensure the full support of the 3PO process, participating when necessary, in the scouting of supplier and providing, to the involved 3PO Function, the recommendation on food safety and quality.  

 

You will coordinate the FSQ homologation audit of short-listed suppliers, generating audit reports aimed to qualification (homologation) providing the final evaluation and coordinating the action plan agreed. You will also verify the contracts completeness in the full scope of food safety and quality aspects. 

 

You will supervise the Commercial & Industrial third-party suppliers’ adherence to the agreed contract standards and FSQ specifications. You will cooperate with 3PO in the following activities: the regular supervision and audit, the implementation of objectives, framework requirements, technical specifications and evaluation criteria defined by Group FSQ, the planning and performance of inspections, including follow-up and action plans and provide training and updates on FSQ specifications.  

 

You will manage non-conformities and derogations, activating the escalation process to AFSQM according to the specific corporate procedure. You will provide supports to 3PO Europe by verifying that FSQ control activities are put in place correctly, ensuring the necessary technical support. You will also collaborate with Group FSQ to contribute on continuous improvement of procedures and guidelines or for the definition of projects based on inspection results. You will integrate the plan of surveillance system based on qualitative monitoring inspections to identify possible intervention plans and perform "discontinuous" audits, in case of criticality and launch of new products. 

 

You will manage and develop the local teams and 3PO FSQ system in terms of mapping and allocation of local and central resources.  

 

You will monitor with the team the KPIs, improvements, investment plans, action plans deriving from audits in 3PO Europe. You will collect KPIs and other statistical indicators directly from business applications and you’ll perform statistics and analyses on the performance of the related KPIs. 

 

You will identify and coordinate the process for the FSQ certification needed on third party suppliers in line with Group FSQ guidelines, also through local structures cooperation (e.g. Legal / Sales. You will coordinate and support 3PO in the implementation of action plans for non-conformities emerged during audits by external Certification Bodies. 

About You:

You possess a Master’s degree with background in Food Sciences, or other related Food Safety and Quality fields and 10-15 years of experience in leadership roles in Food Safety & Quality within a multinational environment. You have a very good knowledge of food safety, quality standards, certifications schemes and food regulatory. 

 

You have experience in Food Safety, specifically in the FSSC22000 principles such as: Hygienic Zoning, Cleaning and Sanitization, Environmental monitoring and GMPs. 

 

Being an excellent communicator with great interpersonal skills, you will conduct and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and you’re comfortable interacting with different hierarchical levels. 

 

Strong leadership, team management, cross-functional collaboration, decision-making, and excellent communication skills are essential to be successful in the role. You are fluent in English, and you have an excellent MS Office knowledge.
