About the Role:

For our Ferrero HQ in Luxembourg we are currently looking for a Category Planning Specialist for the Premium Chocolate/ Sugar confectionary who will be reporting directly to the Category Planning Manager and will collaborate with several central functions (such as Operations Area Planning, Category Controlling and Operations Development) and local functions (such as Plants). 
 
The Category Planning Specialist ensures the consistency of overall planning, capacity assessment for mid-term horizon and product portfolio interacting with the Global Presidency and Area Marketing.  

Main Responsibilities:

As the Category Planning Specialist Premium Chocolate/ Sugar confectionary you will be responsible for managing the mid-term planning of the category through the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process. In addition, you will define the production allocation to various Group Plants based on capacity and optimizing industrial variables such as formats and flavors.

Additionally, you will conduct capacity analyses within the three to six - year strategic planning horizon on existing industrial assets and oversee the product portfolio's operations side in alignment with new catalogue management, collaborating closely with Portfolio Managers of Global Presidency and Sales Business Development.


You will be involved in analyzing product innovations within the new catalogue governance framework and determining their impact on the existing portfolio. This involves adhering to product golden rules and driving continuous product harmonization efforts.

Furthermore, you will define the arbitrage process, addressing issues such as shortages and unexpected reductions in production capacity, in collaboration with the Global Presidency.

Who we are looking for:

You bring your university Master's degree in Economics or Industrial/Management Engineering, coupled with 3-5 years of work experience in operations within production, supply chain, or production planning in FMCG companies.

You have a strong background in planning and project management, along with proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with S&OP and SAP APO systems. Fluency in English is essential.

Key competencies for this role include being result-oriented with strong problem-solving skills, capable of managing complexities with multiple variables. You are a professional who works with critical and analytical thinking. Working with Marketing stakeholders means that you have strong communication and influencing skills while working with proactivity will help you meet your role’s objectives faster.  


Attention to detail and precision are crucial, alongside a high level of accountability and proactivity. Good interpersonal skills are necessary for effectively engaging with senior management, company executives, and individuals at all levels of seniority.
