Production Manager
About the Role:
We have a current opening for a Production Manager and are actively reviewing applications.
We are dedicated to providing high-quality food products that meet the evolving needs of consumers and the demands of our industry. With a commitment to innovation and excellence, we are seeking a passionate and experienced Production Shift Manager to join our dynamic team and oversee our production operations.
Schedule: On-site, Mon- Fri, Daytime hours. Occasional off-shift support may be needed.
Main Responsibilities:
- Supervision of Production Teams:
o Lead, motivate, and supervise production staff during assigned shifts.
o Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and performance feedback. - Production Oversight:
o Ensure daily production schedules are met while maintaining optimal quality standards.
o Monitor production processes and make real-time adjustments as necessary to optimize efficiency. - Quality and Safety Compliance:
o Enforce compliance with food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, GMP) and company policies.
o Perform regular inspections and audits of production areas to ensure adherence to safety and quality protocols. - Continuous Improvement:
o Analyze production performance data to identify areas for improvement.
o Implement corrective actions and process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste. - Training and Development:
o Provide training to new hires and ongoing support to existing staff to ensure competency in operational procedures.
o Mentor team members to foster a culture of personal and professional development.
o Collaboration and Reporting:
o Work in conjunction with other departments (e.g., quality assurance, maintenance, logistics) to ensure smooth operations.
o Prepare and present shift reports to upper management regarding production outcomes, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
About You:
• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Autonomous maintenance/ Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
• Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt- highly preferred
• A minimum of 5-10 years of leadership experience in food production management or a closely related field.
• Profound understanding of food safety regulations and quality assurance practices.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the skill to effectively manage and inspire a diverse workforce.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with production management software.
