Food Safety Manager
About the Role:
We have a current opening for a Food Safety Manager and are actively reviewing applications.

Our commitment to food safety is paramount, and we are seeking an experienced Food Safety Manager to join our dynamic team at our Louisville plant. As the Food Safety Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our operations comply with local, state, and federal food safety regulations. You will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our food safety management systems, fostering a culture of safety and quality throughout the organization.
Schedule: On-site, Mon- Fri, Daytime hours. Occasional off-shift support may be needed.
Main Responsibilities:
• Manage adaptation, roll-out, and monitoring of Food Safety aspects by interfacing with Group stakeholders
• Follow, for Food Safety aspects, local authorities, certifications requirements and all the external companies’ specifications that have an impact on the Plant
• Assist with Food Safety and HACCP/ FSMA plans, and Prerequisite Programs (PRPs), through a continuous risk analysis (leveraging on FS & Quality plant KPIs)
• Define, in accordance to Group Food Safety, local authorities and other external organizations, necessary rules (local procedures) in order to guarantee product (workflow) traceability, to detect origins of Food Safety related issues
• Take responsibility and guarantee training within Food Safety across all relevant stake holder functions
• Lead the management of Food Safety non-conformities, according to Group and plant procedures (following escalation guidelines)
• Be responsible for Food Safety continuous improvement within the Plant
• Support the implementation of new production lines or the production of new product for the Plant to capture all possible point of attention on Food Safety aspects (e.g. new allergens and cross contamination risk), performs risk analysis and identifies possible solutions
About You:
• Minimum 4-7 years' experience in Food Safety within food manufacturing/production
• Past Sanitation supervision is required
• In-depth knowledge of sanitation processes & cleaning chemicals (concentrations, titration, chemical safety, etc.)
• Ability to match or detect differences in color, including shades & brightness, ability to see details, ability to compare similarities & differences quickly & accurately
• Ability to perform simple math
• Aadvanced knowledge of Microsoft systems (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Strong written & verbal skills
• Proficiency in SAP is preferred.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) & HACCP are strongly preferred
• Knowledge of Kleanz system
• Knowledge and experience with microbiological analysis
• Knowledge and experience with Root Cause Analysis tools/methodology
• Project management experience
• PCQI certification highly preferred
