National Account Manager - AYR - ASDA
About the Role:
Step into a pivotal commercial role where you’ll shape customer relationships, influence strategy and drive growth.
As our National Account Manager, you’ll own partnerships within key channels, leading negotiations, building impactful business plans and steering sales performance. Working closely with National Account Executives and the Business Unit Controller, you’ll help set the direction by crafting business plans, guiding sales strategy and delivering commercial initiatives that make a meaningful impact.

Main Responsibilities:
You’ll take ownership of strategic account management, creating and delivering robust business plans that drive growth across priority channels and formats. With full P&L responsibility, you’ll ensure sales, revenue and profit targets are met while managing budgets, trade terms and promotional investments with confidence.
As the primary contact for a portfolio of Ferrero brands, you’ll build trusted, long standing relationships with Buyers, Category Managers and key internal stakeholders. Your ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively will ensure strong partnerships and smooth day to day delivery.
You’ll lead Joint Business Planning, negotiating and executing agreements that align business priorities and unlock sustainable, mutually beneficial growth.
Promotional planning will sit at the heart of your role, as you develop and activate in store strategies that enhance visibility and deliver commercial impact. You’ll also forecast performance accurately and provide timely insight to guide decision making across the business.
Working cross functionally with Trade Marketing, Category, Finance, Demand Planning, Ecommerce, Marketing and NRM, you’ll ensure seamless execution of account plans. With a close eye on market trends, competitor activity and consumer behaviour, you’ll spot opportunities, anticipate risks and adapt strategies to keep Ferrero ahead.
About You:
We’re looking for someone with strong commercial acumen, who brings strong negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management skills. You’ll be confident working with numbers, able to interpret data quickly, and comfortable managing full P&L responsibilities across complex customer environments.
You’ll have a track record of delivering results through credible, collaborative relationships, and you’ll thrive in a role that demands drive, adaptability and clear communication. Experience creating and executing Joint Business Plans, shaping growth strategies and navigating trade terms is essential.
Strong capability across Word, Excel and PowerPoint is important, with the ability to use these tools to analyse information, present insight and support decision making.
Experience in FMCG would be a real advantage and knowledge of Top Four UK Grocery customers is highly desirable.
Team leadership experience is also beneficial, alongside a proactive interest in broader market trends and commercial development.
