Plant Logistics Manager
About the Role:
Ferrero is seeking an experienced Industrial Logistics Manager to lead end‑to‑end logistics operations at Plant and third‑party logistics (3PL) level. The role is critical in ensuring safe, compliant, cost‑effective, and efficient material flows, while contributing as a key member of the Plant leadership team. The Industrial Logistics Manager provides strong people leadership across warehousing, internal logistics, inventory, exports, pallet pooling, and external logistics partners, working in close collaboration with Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, and Supply Chain teams.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead industrial logistics operations in alignment with business priorities, safety standards, and quality requirements
- Build strong cross‑functional partnerships with internal teams and contribute to Plant leadership forums, supporting operational and strategic decision‑making
- Drive accountability, performance management, and continuous improvement across logistics activities
- Lead, coach, and develop logistics teams across Plant and 3PL operations, ensure effective workforce planning and operational coverage in a high‑volume manufacturing environment
- Foster a culture of safety, engagement, and continuous improvement
- Ensure a safe working environment at all times and promote a strong safety‑first mindset, implement and maintain logistics safety procedures and risk assessments
- Ensure compliance with transport, chain of responsibility, and regulatory requirements
- Lead initiatives to improve environmental performance, including waste reduction and emissions efficiency
- Ensure logistics operations meet Ferrero quality, food safety, and traceability standards
- Collaborate with Quality teams to support audits, certifications, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Guarantee full traceability of raw materials and finished goods across plant and 3PL operations
- Oversee warehouse operations and internal material flows to support production continuity
- Ensure high inventory accuracy across plant and external warehouses, plan and execute stocktakes in line with company policies
- Optimise space, labour, and resource utilisation to improve operational efficiency
- Manage third‑party logistics partners, ensuring service delivery, compliance, and performance standards are met
- Oversee inbound and outbound logistics flows, including raw materials, packaging, and finished goods
- Manage non‑conformances, claims, and issue resolution with internal and external stakeholders
- Lead export logistics operations, ensuring compliance with international shipping and documentation requirements
- Coordinate container loading, configurations, and inspections to meet market‑specific standards
- Ensure finished goods meet customer, regulatory, and market requirements prior to dispatch
- Manage logistics budgets and cost control activities in line with business targets
- Monitor performance indicators and report risks, opportunities, and improvement actions
- Support CAPEX and OPEX initiatives, including business case development and benefit tracking
- Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives across logistics operations
About You:
- Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or plant‑based logistics management
- University degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or related field
- Solid understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and external logistics, including 3PL and exports
- Strong knowledge of safety, quality, food standards, and regulatory compliance
- Financial and commercial capability, including budget and cost management
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience driving continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives
- Strong people leadership experience in complex operational environments
