About the Role:

The role is responsible for effective planning, directing and coordinating of Health, Safety and Environment activities. The position guarantees the service level for internal clients, in terms of quality, efficiency and results orientated Health, Safety and Environment activities for Ferrero Australia.

Main Responsibilities:

 

  • Participate in the development of HSE systems to ensure maximum economy and efficiency for the Company and take part in HSE planning for the Plant

  • Take part in HSE activities in accordance with policies, procedures, and standards to ensure that the HSE area operates smoothly

  • Participate in the quality program based on ISO 9001, food safety program based on ISO 22000, ISO 14000 Environmental Management System, ISO 50001 Energy Management System and WHS program based on ISO 45001

  • Ensure compliance with the applicable legal requirements and other requirements to which Ferrero subscribes

  • Participate in the respective meetings and contribute to the discussions on professional matters, regarding objectives, targets and programs

  • Support the implementation of an efficient HSE service for the Plant, monitor operations and take action as required

  • Report respective matters, follow the instructions in resolving issues and manage respective documentation and reporting

  • Ensure isolation of the affected product, identify the cause of the problem and take actions to resolve the cause and stop the production if the risk is critical

  • Communicate externally and internally any information regarding HSE matters

  • Ensure raw materials / packaging / processes / intermediate product and finished product is maintained in a “food safe” way

  • Hold responsibility to ensure the health, safety and welfare at work of all the employees of Ferrero manufacturing facility

  • Ensure the people on the lines are working in a “food safe” way

  • Promote continual improvement approach across the businesses and maintain current knowledge of industry trends and practices

  • Induct Contractors and Visitors to ensure compliance, conduct monitoring

  • Maintain HSE records on SAP and coordinates HSE reporting; support incidents investigations

 

Who we are looking for:

 

  • University degree in a relevant field, professional certifications required

  • Relevant experience in FMCG food manufacturing with a good knowledge of the HSE Law, respective regulations and requirements

  • Good planning and control capability, adaptiveness and flexibility, good time and self-management skills

  • Accountability and problem-solving skills, result orientation

  • Ability to work across teams and manage multiple stakeholders in an effective way

  • Strong MS Office skills, SAP is considered a strong plus
