Junior Customer Category Development Manager

About the Role:

As a Junior Customer Category Development Manager, you will become the key point of contact within Trade Marketing for your assigned channel and category, driving growth and ensuring excellence in execution. In this dynamic FMCG environment, you will collaborate closely with Sales and Marketing to build impactful plans that bring brands to life in-store and online. Additionally, you will play an active role in shaping the trade marketing strategy, contributing to the company’s bottom-up planning process while identifying new business opportunities and maximizing market potential. Your role will empower you to challenge the status quo, ensuring that every opportunity for growth is explored and executed with precision.

Main Responsibilities:

You will be working on the development and implementation of the Trade Marketing Plan, aligning closely with the broader brand strategy and supporting the customer business plan definition. Close collaboration with Sales will allow you to translate strategies into compelling customer activations, while ensuring timely execution across channels, including Impulse channel marketing and e-commerce strategy initiatives. Additionally, managing the end-to-end process of POS materials and in-store activations will be part of your daily responsibilities, ensuring strong visibility and impact at the point of sale.

A strong analytical mindset will allow you to dive deep into sell-out analysis, identifying trends, risks, and growth opportunities across categories and customers. You will contribute to customer analysis by evaluating performance against competitors and quantifying opportunities in terms of uplift, ROI, and market share. Moreover, developing customer loyalty programs and tracking secondary placements will help you unlock additional value and strengthen customer relationships. Driving continuous improvement, you will proactively identify gaps and challenge the business to capture untapped potential within the category development landscape.

About You:

You are someone with a degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field, combined with initial experience in trade marketing jobs or a similar role, ideally within the FMCG industry. A strong command of MS Office skills, particularly Excel, will support your ability to analyze data and draw meaningful insights. Additionally, your experience working in cross-functional or matrix organizations will allow you to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

A proactive and results-driven mindset defines you, and you thrive in a fast-paced environment where structure and organization are essential. You bring curiosity, flexibility, and strong interpersonal skills, making you an excellent team player who can influence and challenge constructively. Furthermore, your passion for category management, combined with your analytical capabilities and business acumen, enables you to identify opportunities and translate them into impactful actions. Above all, you hold strong ethical values and are committed to delivering excellence in everything you do.
