About the Role:

The role is aimed to support logistics operations as managing import shipment, inventory control, warehouse management, deployment, and relevant vendor communications. The role will be also monitoring VRAC shelf life, FEFO, providing relevant reporting and applying derogation from commercial quality, together with the cost management, relevant VRAC status analysis.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the import logistics operations, including shipment planning, documentation, and customs clearance processes  

  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, including import licences, permits and trade agreement

  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary import documentation and ensure timely delivery of goods

  • Liaise with shipping lines and other service providers to arrange and trace shipments

  • Review shipping documents, such as commercial invoice, packing list, Health Certificate, COO & data logger to ensure accuracy and compliance

  • Manage and optimize transportation modes, routes, and freight cost to enhance efficiency and minimize expenses

  • Maintain accurate records of import activities, including shipment details, cost, and compliance documentations

  • Collaborate effectively with shipping lines, trucking companies, custom brokers, and FAP Logistics team to ensure proper flow of outbound loads, managing the shipment ETA & ETD

  • Provide warehouse management activities on the territory of Hong Kong and China Mainland, including layout optimization, space utilization, implementation of best practices to streamline warehouse process and ensure efficient handling of goods

  • Ensure inventory accuracy in system, stock take, audit, cost, and managing all warehouse administrative procedures (waybill, invoices, delivery note, etc.) 

  • Monitor VRAC shelf life and derogation  

  • Provide support to transactions & insurance claims with accurate information in a timely manner, be involved in continuous improvement projects

  • Prepare relevant reporting and analyse relevant data to generate applicable insights from logistics data and work on improvement areas. Prepare regular KPI reporting (i.e. delivery accuracy, transportation and inventory turnover)

  • Stay update with international trade, regulation, industry trends, and best practices to propose and implement process improvements

Who we are looking for:

  • ​​​​​​University degree in Supply Chain or related fields

  • Strong knowledge of supply and distribution networks with good understanding of Supply Chain end-to-end process in FMCG company, experience with cold chain is preferred

  • Working knowledge of warehouse management, inventory controls, product shelf life, frozen and chilled product category quality management

  • Good working knowledge of respective regulations, customs documentation, customs clearance process, Hong Kong and China Mainland custom and import & export declaration process

  • Advanced communication skills, ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, internal and external

  • High problem-solving and time management skills, proactivity and continuous improvement mindset

  • Cost control, PO management, relevant data and reporting management

  • Strong data analysis skillset and ability to generate insights from data

  • Advanced knowledge and use of MS Office, Power BI and SAP

  • Fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin is required

  • Openness to travel
