Controller Hong Kong & Taiwan

About the Role:

The role of Controller for Hong Kong and Taiwan is aimed to drive financial performance and support business decision-making across the cluster. It acts as a trusted Finance Business Partner, ensuring full governance of the P&L while providing insights that enable sustainable growth and operational excellence. Collaboration with commercial, supply chain, and finance teams is key to identifying opportunities, optimizing performance, and guiding strategic decisions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage the P&L for Hong Kong & Taiwan markets, ensuring accuracy and transparency
  • Lead monthly closing activities, including variance analysis and performance reviews
  • Conduct balance sheet reviews in collaboration with Accounting teams
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and financial controls
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to support day-to-day decision-making
  • Provide insights to identify cost optimization and business improvement opportunities
  • Analyze profitability by customer and channel to support commercial strategies
  • Lead preparation of strategic plans, budgets, and forecasts
  • Coordinate latest estimates and contribute to planning cycles
  • Present financial performance and insights to stakeholders
  • Evaluate financial feasibility of new product initiatives
  • Ensure pricing governance (e.g., release of price lists in SAP)
  • Review commercial spending and related purchase orders
  • Support cross-functional projects focused on efficiency and compliance

About You:

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent
  • Solid experience in finance or controlling, FMCG industry is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in business partnering and stakeholder engagement
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • High level of attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Commercial mindset with a focus on value creation
  • Experience in team coordination and leadership is an advantage
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with SAP and financial reporting tools (e.g., Hyperion, Essbase) is a plus
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Mandarin Chinese is an advantage
