About the Role:
Ensure the deployment and control within the S&OP cycle of the consolidated demand planning at Business unit level preserving the General Manager demand accountability
Support the General Manager and the business references to ensure a Sales Forecast Accuracy in line with business unit objectives regarding Service Level and Cost to Serve
Represent a pivotal entry point of the Supply Chain organization for business counterparts within the end-to-end planning process, ensuring cross-functional sensibility on the destructions
Main Responsibilities:
PLANS AGGREGATION
- Collection of historical and forecast data from sales and marketing (qty, rev, price) – depending on BU consider distributor input
- Manages the aggregation of sales and marketing data on common framework (Product view, SKU by week -short term- and brand by month –mid term-, qty, rev)
- Consistently interacts with sales and marketing references in order to provide support and consistently get updates. Use the conclusion to adjust the demand plan accordingly.
- Coaches and disseminates forecasting methodologies and tools to the business references.
DEMAND PLANNING
- Assures a demand plan for the full S&OP horizon considering trends, commercial initiatives, distributor input and leveraging analytics
- Provides inputs and insight to the business references regarding operations plans/ constraints
- Translates the demand into an operative delivery plan (SKU, week, qty, price) considering the unmanageable constraints [0 to 4-6 Months]
- Operationalize the demand plan [0 to 18 Months] in the relevant planning tool.
DEMAND CONTROL
- Checks and balances the short term [0 to 4-6 Months] plan to deploy deliveries to customers (supply control vs availability)
- Collaborate with Business Responsible to prioritize any constrained demand by customer
- Provides to the Region Board (or specific coordination mechanisms to validate the demand) the final validation ensuring that the Region Manager has the “last word”
- Inputs demand in SAP or relevant planning tool ad ensures data consistency.
SALES & OPERATIONS PLANNING CYCLE
- Chairs the periodical Sales & Operations Planning meetings defining the agenda, main topics and participants
- Acts as Business Process Owner for the S&OP vs local and central stakeholders
- Ensures inclusion of “Destruction” point in S&OP meetings agenda or in dedicated routines
- Is the referent for local and for center (e.g. maturity assessment, IT issues)
- Provides KPIs/ reporting
- Prepares, enables and supports the S&OP local meetings and ensures a reflection of the decisions in the Demand Plan
- Supports the yearly budget process by collecting, assessing and operationalizing discontinuities
FORECAST NEW PRODUCTS
- Support Sales and Marketing departments with development of the demand plan for new products by analyzing similar products trends/seasonality, other product launches curve (pipeline building) etc.
CONTINUOUS IMPROVMENT
- Make recommendations to enhance business processes and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencies.
- Drive utilization of a harmonized Group Demand Planning Tool and make recommendations on enhancements
Who we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field, Master’s degree is a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or related supply chain roles. Experience in a similar industry is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with proficiency in Excel and demand planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with various business units.
- Experience in chairing or leading S&OP meetings and managing complex data and stakeholder relationships.
- Solid understanding of demand forecasting methodologies and supply chain management principles.
- Experience with new product forecasting and pipeline building techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and solving challenges.
