Warehouse Operator FLD - Halstead
About the Role:
As a Warehouse Operator at our Ferrero Halstead site, home of Eat Natural, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods across our warehouse operations. From receiving raw materials to dispatching finished products, you will help maintain accurate stock control, support production needs, and ensure all activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with Ferrero’s quality and compliance standards.
This is a permanent role working on a rotating shift pattern of Mornings (6am–2pm) and Afternoons (11am–7pm). Flexibility will be key to supporting changing production and operational demands.
Main Responsibilities:
In this role, you will support the full flow of warehouse operations, ensuring goods are safely and accurately received, stored, moved, and dispatched to meet production and customer requirements. You will operate warehouse equipment, manage inventory and documentation through warehouse management systems such as SAP, and work closely with production teams, transport providers, and suppliers to ensure smooth daily operations. Health, safety, quality, and data accuracy will be central to everything you do, alongside a continuous improvement mindset to help enhance efficiency and ways of working.
As part of this role, you would operate warehouse and material handling equipment, including forklifts and reach trucks, in line with training requirements, Health & Safety regulations, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards. You would manage goods-in and goods-out activities, including receiving and checking deliveries, inspecting product quality, preparing shipments, and ensuring accurate and timely dispatch.
You would maintain accurate inventory records and warehouse documentation, promote safe working practices, and report hazards, incidents, or operational issues in line with site procedures. You would communicate effectively with warehouse colleagues, production teams, transport providers, and suppliers to support efficient day-to-day operations and service delivery. In addition, you would contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance warehouse processes, improve operational efficiency, and support best-practice ways of working.
About You:
We are looking for someone who is organised, dependable, and committed to maintaining high safety standards in a busy warehouse or manufacturing setting.
You will be comfortable managing stock, following operational procedures, and ensuring records and documentation are accurate and up to date. A team-oriented approach, strong communication skills, and attention to detail are essential.
Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or manufacturing is desirable, and familiarity with forklift operation, reach trucks, SAP, or warehouse management systems would be beneficial, although support and training can be provided.
